Disappointing and frustrating to lose but doesnt help when one of your halfback gets injured alongside a couple of others. Should we have won? Probably but congrats to the Eagles who never gave in. Typical its Rob that gets 3 tries. However we have 4 more games and already the team and club have done us proud on and off the field. Hopefully some lessons can be learned so that next year we are in a better position. Just need to rebuild and get sorted because Salford will be really up for it after getting spanked today.

Is this the third year on the trot that Sheffield have spoked our wheels during playoff/end of season rugby? I have to say too - what would that stand have looked like today had every Fax fan stayed at home? Gotta feel sorry for the Sheffield directors because they produce a top side every year but no one watches. Or don't they give a hoot as it's the council's money? How you can go full time with sub-thousand attendances is beyond comprehension. What's the point? What's the end ambition if no one is there to watch it all?

They must know the ins and outs of how to claim development grants, with help and guidance from the RFL who in turn "talk up" their potential, and in turn, receive more grant money.

I remember the Leigh, Sheffield Northern Rail final at the Shay.
The North Stand was virtually empty.

Even more ridiculous, they manage to hire 40,000 capacity stadiums for some of their games.

My least favourite team in the comp as well as London who will probably stay full time and announce a cluster of big name signings on crowds of 250 for next year.

We don't get any development money from the RFL, we just have Directors who know how to sensibly run a rugby club.

I thought it was a great game - a neutral couldn't have asked for more entertainment.

I think you will find that some of the development money you don't get wasn't spent on development.

The 40,000 capacity stadiums are the only stadiums in Sheffield that currently meet the RFL requirements.

Jonny, I wasnt far out , but I was with the result, I expected us to win ,Sheffield surprised me I knew they wouldn't roll over,we must win a couple to increase our money for next season.
