To be fair Ridyard does stand out at this level but then again maybe Murrell would have done if he had not been playing in SL.

Good hit , but it was done by Makali Azue ,assisted by Vella , I presume you mean the tackle on Scott Wheeldon ?We at Leigh let blokes like Big Sam , Tommy G , Tom Spencer , and Matty Sarsfield do the big hits , Riddy is a Creator ,and has played SL for Warrington .

Im not sure running a water bottle on the pitch constitutes playing SL.

Back to thread. I make that 6 wins out of 7 and 1 draw with the last loss in June to Leigh away. We currently have the second best points against second only to the aforementioned Leigh. We looked a class above the Lions today who, to their credit, stuck at it and I can see why they ran Donny close last week. Keighley did us a massive favour today.
I didn't see what happened to Luke Ambler today but we really do need him for the Dewsbury game as this promises to be a real tough one and yet another must win with Fev playing Barrow at Fev.

I think Murrell offers as much overall, as any player in the Fax team which is all I can comment on from what I have actually seen on a regular basis.

Martin Ridyard is without doubt a quality player and this year with the team Leigh have he has looked even better but is he any better than Murrell?

If we could do a club swap Murrell for Ridyard keeping the rest of the teams the same we would find out.

For all the stats you have quoted about how well Leigh are doing this year it's not down to one individual like you seem to be saying about Ridyard, after all, how long has he been there, seems a long time to finally get them moving, what has he been waiting for.

Yep. However, Fev have to come to The Shay. If we do go undefeated than we'll move above them as we'll have won that game. If we lose to Fev then it's irrelevant how they get on against Leigh as we'll be behind them.

Scored some great tries today with some really good attacking play and we looked good most of the game BUT why oh why do we let teams come back with late scores in the last 10 minutes?

Not necessarily, if Fev win all their games up to playing us and they get a bonus point at the shay we will be on the same points, but Fevs superior goal difference will keep them in 2nd.

We need, firstly, to beat Dewsbury and North Wales and hope that Leigh do the business on Fev , which would make the Fax v Fev game almost cup final important.
