| Well plenty of our 1st teamers got U20's gametime last season I can assure our posters. OK, how about this, how would your "youngsters" feel if they missed out on £20 or £30 appearance money for some "1st teamer" who got selected in front of them ?
These so called 1st teamers, who are actually reserves for the 80 minutes duration of the game might just bring on the kids, they might just steady things down or liven things up at the correct moments during a game. It's very possible you can learn things from playing against better opponets as well for that matter.
I wish we had the luxury of the Leigh squad in both quality & quantity, & i don't blame them for contacting other clubs to work a deal out re the U20's fixtures.

| Not a bad display by the lads the final score was 24 to over 40 something to Leigh.
Could have been a few more for them but they had a number of scores wide out with no conversions.
Senior players for them I noticed were Madden, Ostick, Brown, Govin and maybe one more.
To be fair the younger guys for Leigh looked quick and classy in attack with some good line breaks and offloads going forward.
Fax kept going, San Brookes, Jamahl Hunte, Brad Delaney and our full back were the picks of some good performances.
Not a bad crowd with £250 announced as the funds raised for the Fax builder.

It ended up being slightly higher than that as we had some more donations bringing the total to £267 we grateful for all the support the youngsters are being given by Fax supporters and the youngsters never give up when playing .

Naughty, out of interest how does that compare with match days, not the amount you took out, the amount you collected.

Good question and I have no idea I am just one of the paying customers .
JFFC will though.
There were also several large portions of CHIPS being consumed as well HJ but comparing the amount to match days it was well down because you weren't there.

As you can imagine it is up on a usual matchday collection , hard to be exact as of course it depends on the crowd ,also on the normal matchday we are collecting mainly "Pledges " .Two or three years ago certain people pledged to put a contribution in each week to help support the second team and they are still honouring that "Pledge "
However if you want an example for instance againt Batley (first team)which was a decent crowd we took £130 ,the following Under 20s match against Sheffield (good crowd for an Under 20s ) the takings at turnstyles was £305 .
The first team match against Sheffield £113 ( crowd not as good as previous game )last nights Under 20s (lower crowd than previous Under 20s )£267
As you can see the differance is quite good but when you times it by several matches it does make a considerable differance.

| Another thing to remember is the announcements are being made by Hilda and if the accuracy of the takings is anything similar to who was scoring for Leigh you have to make some allowances.
"And the try scorer for Leigh.....is.......Johnny Umbergumbaba... I think".
I thought I had been given last weeks team sheet and going on who was being announced the RFL are now probably looking into Leigh fielding a number of players who aren't registered with them.

Colin, last season I never saw more than three first teamers in what was then U23's.
How would the youngster feel if they missed out on £20 or £30 if not selected?
Well speaking for my self, It wouldn't have been the money firstly, it would have been the fact that I didn't get a game.
I am not sure whether the youngsters are allowed to play for anyone else at weekends, if they are then at least they get a game, if not they may have to sit out a few weeks in a season, I am sure they will want to play on a regular basis.
So for me, it's under 20's with a limitation on open age.
Just my opinion.

Blimey JFFC.
You have released more information in that one post than the rest of the trust has in the last couple of years.
You'll be getting de trustified, not a pleasant experience you know.

| Maybe the increased amount of collections at u20s games is due to it been in lieu of an entry fee.

Well yes that is it exactly on a first team game it is quite expensive , paying in , programme , half time draw but we are lucky we have such supportive fans of the Under 20s and people volunteering to collect and man turnstyles for the Under 20s.The away fans of the Under 20s also give good amounts when they come to matches it`s not just Fax fans that contribute generously.
