Should have gone to video ref, Leigh got some bad calls last night, right from the very first pass of the game!

=redThe Video Ref has made some very dodgy calls the last few games I've watched, Ian Smith seems to get worse every game!

To be fair he didn't half have some bloody awful calls to make last night - and without the benefit of the kit that sky sports bring to a game. Several angles from all over the pitch do make the VR's job much easier on the sky games.
The Premier sports production is much the poor relation and as such the decisions made reflect the lack of evidence a VR has to work with.
Tim Roby did Leigh no favours making crucial calls at critical times in the game that appear to go against Leigh. Not as drastic as last weeks effort for ginnger Ged, but may have impacted on the result. Saying that, letting Sheff get off to an 0-18 lead did em no favours either!

they have come very strong in the play-offs and play some good rugby - it will be an interesting final - i am not sure that Featherstone will give them such a head start - Aston looked really shaken when Leigh came back so strongly

on the video refereeing, ian smith seems to be doing just alot of guess work in the last couple of games, if hes going to do that then the ref might as well just guess himself plus i though thats where they came up with the rule benefit of doubt to the attacking side? last night he guessed the ball was short of the line but wasnt sure, well surely this rule should of been used at this point

As regular readers will know, I hibernated after our dismal performance against Sheffield, however today whilst sleepily checking my nuts I noticed this thread, In say good luck to Fev, they have proved over the last few years what a well run club they are. Consistant, and I predict they will win the GF.
Personally I wish we were there with Halifax, another great day out but, it's not to be.

Would have been good for it to be a Fev/Fax final maybe next year.

I recon a a Fev/Fax final would have generated a 10,00-12,000 final attendance.

Doubt it, will you take as many it being your third GF in a row and your second Final this year?
Will Sheffield take as many as last year again it being their second Gf in a row?Plus if Donny get there they won't take many fans, maybe Barrow will as they get decent support.
I guess around the same attendance, maybe just just a few more with Barrow being there.
