we had 9 players all under 20 playing in todays game Wayne Godwin came on 30 mins into the game and then got knocked out 20 mins into the second half, nero, gleeson, and wild played a max 30 mins of the 80, same with gibson and broughton, the only two players to start and complete the match was Matty smith and stef ratchford. add that to 7 of our best players still in oz and the equals Leigh winning by one point!

It's a good win but maybe going a bit OTT? Widnes beat a very young yet with a few 1st teamers against Saints two years back and didn't exactly dominate the league did we! Quite a bit of ammunition for them in your posts. In all seriousness, both teams playing their first game. Salford missing 6 or 7, leigh missing 3 or 4, both teams making lots of subs. Salfrod spent 30 minutes of the first 40 in thier own half and scored two tries to our one. Second half was 3 tries to 0 in Leighs favour.

Summary, useful run out for both coaches. Salfords strength in depth looks to be severely lacking.
