| Quote Jonnie..="Jonnie.."whilst i did not boo myself!
in what other way do u supose we get across to the team that as paying spectators we are not happy with the team performance! i gave up shouting encouragment 20 mins in!
if i had chosen to boo, then i would have been booing the performance rather than an indivdual
No i have to say that booing is a clear way to get across that we are not happy with the performance.
I am allowed to cheer when we are doing well - so to say i cannot boo when we are not doing well is double standards!
Booooooooooooooooooooooooo to the first half yesterday and to the widnes game- we were shocking!'"
am sure the team would have known we werent happy they were losing 34-10 at the break.
i didnt boo the players off at the break.
i decided it was time to support the club after the widnes game where its fair to say i was not on my best behaviour with the officials.
i decided that it would never happen again and i would never boo the team off.

| Booing is for deluded fools, I was shouting get your backsides in gear and tapping my badge. It must have worked! Booing at a sportsman can have the complete opposite effect, at the end of the day youy want them to play better. Heckling and booing them off sometimes makes guys say well f you then. Not good but it does happen.

| Quote faxlad66="faxlad66"I personally think that we couldnt play as bad in the second half as we did in the first, plus i felt that Haven took their foot off the gas as they were so far ahead. I think it had very little or nothing to do with the booing. Cant see any reason for it IMO regardless of the performance.'"
I didnt say that the booing improved the performance, but I was responding to a post that said that we should get behind the team to improve the performance and not boo. I was saying that although there was booing the performance did improve.
I realise Haven ran out of steam a little in the second half, but our ball retention was better, our errors were fewer and it was a defianate improvement.
I personally dont hold with booing the team that you support with a passion, but I do understand the reasons why those who do, did

| Not missed a game this year, not missed many for years and years now, been to just about every ground, seen our ups and our downs and you know i never booed them when we went down with no points, i remember we chanted 'Were proud of you' all the time.
Shipping 50 at home aint good, letting opposition walk through us aint good, i didnt boo, but if people pay good money they are entitled to boo if they want, each to their own.
we got midweek fixtures that are tricky, i think we need to filll the petrol tanks up and be prepared to go back up to Cumbria.
Were better than this, what on earth is going on at our belove club...?

| Good post! Booing is never good but it is perfectly understandable in the circumstances. We seem to have lost it big time. I feel the sequence of poor results go back much further than the current losing run. Apart from the Toulousse result when was the last time we really played well for a whole, or indeed the majority of a match. Too many players are off form, the opposition have sussed out that by getting in our faces and we self destruct, and we don't seem to have tactics to change things. Although I have no evidence to the contrary I just wonder if everything behind the scenes at the club is what it should be. Fingers crossed that my fears are groundless and we get a result on Thursday and then finish the season in style.

| I dont think they listen to him anyway, they always play off the cuff, that doesn't need much talking.
Shame we dont have a strong individual on the pitch, i felt proud the way Wrenchy was pacing round looking annoyed at them, you can see he has pride and its probably the worst side hes played in for years. i remember cheering Haley too, he never lets us down, even if he has a bad game, he tries and has pride in the shirt.
Somethings going on there.

| some interesting points being made on this thread
when the ref is having a bad game or making some poor decisions, i often Boo him! - its a way he for sure knows he has got it wrong or in the opinion of the fans has, it also send a mesage to the forth officals!
do u fellow fans think it in wrong to book the ref! i certainly think its far better than chants that question his parentige! espacailly with younger ears around!
i also think that the booing on Sunday was frustration of two and a half games of poor rugby - it send a coolective message that we as fans are not happy! At the same time when we were cheering like mad when the come back was on this also sent a clear messsage!
(so many spelling miskates! lol)

| im not one for booing, unless its bradford!
but that 1st half was that shocking i cant blame anyone who did.....u pay your ££ you have the right, i think most fax fans think the same. and the fact that the team were booed off at ht shows just how bad we were.
why did he keep them all on the pitch at full time, to show us they needed a talkin to and he knew it
or
to let most speccies leave, so they didnt get booed?

No. If people had wanted to boo, they would have still booed them at the final whistle. The thing freshest in fans memory was that we almost ended up winning it and on 80 minutes I think the fans were more glad we'd made a game of it after such a terrible 60 minutes. Only upon reflection do we realise that on the whole, the last 20 minutes dont make up for a very poor performance
