how many 40/20s did holroyd kick when he was here, how many have we kicked this season.?

Holroyd was a great goal kicker but i think this season our kicking has been better overall we just dont do it enough,we persist with chips over the top too much. i will admit holroyds attacking kicks were much better but as for his place kicking was it that much better.

He wasn't as good as some make out.

It's not about Holdroyd, it's about varying how you play and giving people a breather whilst making it hard for teams to get out of their own half. Not every kick should be a 40-20 but if the team know a good kick is coming they will hold the ball better, a kick follows and the oppostion receive the ball deeper in their own half, making their job harder. That's how you build pressure, not by running the ball like maniacs, forcing passes and dropping the ball in your own half, giving opposition penalties and field postition

If you watch last seasons trys dvd 90% of the trys we scored holly contributed to through his passes or his kicks. It shows how important a general on the field is someone to grab the game by the scruff of the neck when things are going wrong. Think how much more dangerous we would of been this season with a out and out stand off on the field i reckon we would be out of site at the top now.

This lad seems fine to me. The refs in our league are useless. And he hasn't ever slagged off the staff or players at fax without some sort of just cause and rational.
