Nope each time Ellis touched the ball he was gently aided to the floor with a pillow at hand to lay under his head, he was then brought grapes and red wine.
What do you expect? we fookin nailed him to the floor good and proper.

If you're after a sport where aggression is not encouraged, try snooker mofo. Although the loud clattering of the balls smashing together might be a bit much for you to handle.
Admit it. You love it when a fax player legally knocks the stuffing out of a rival forward. It was a rough and tough game but most of it was above board and it was a cracking old fashioned contest.

| 'Cheapshot' Gannon will get his cummupence when he's comes to Craven Park.
I thought we hung in well yesterday, despite all our injuries, player unavailablility and disciplinary bans. There were 9 local players on the field yesterday (plus Holty who's been at the club for almost 10 years). The final just came at the wrong time with no chance of bringing players in to plug the gaps. Brocklehurst and Catic let the club and fans down big style.
Catic will be back (with a lot of making up to do), Rooney will be available and I believe 3 new signings are imminent. Add them to the players who turned out in the final and we should hopefully get a second wind to take us into the playoffs.

| Looks to me as if Barrows bubble has burst in the last couple of weeks. Haven should see them off on Thursday and with any luck if we can sneak it in France we should be nailed on for top spot. I thought both teams looked pretty average in the final and it was pretty obvious that Widnes won the final when they beat us. Cullen has had his lottery win now but can he make lightening strike twice , time will tell.

Please point out where I stated that aggression should not be encouraged Merely highlighted that Widnes were targeting Ellis.
I love it when any team LEGALLY knocks the stuffing out of an opponent. What I do dislike is cowardly thugs like TKL who drop the elbow on players heads when they are already tackled

What a difference a month or so makes Vikingman. Not to long ago you were baying for blood on these boards and going missing for days in your deep sulks. SRC is right in his theory. We will be a different team when we play you lot again and for the play-offs. Rooney will have settled in as will a couple of additions. Remember the last time we played you with a full strength team ? Barrows season cannot be judged on the NRC final by any means & im sure the game at our place will be an epic.
Gregflorimo - The bubble has certailnly not burst mate. We have said since the beginning of the year that our Squad was a little thin. This has turned out to be true. We have had very few games this season where we have had a strong bench and Sunday was one of those days. We have had a couple of Duff buys who have let the club down and been rightly shown the door. The bubble is well and truly still in tact and there is a long way to go. Had you said we would be where we are now last season I would have laugher my a*se off mate. I think the club has exceeded all expectation so far and had we not had disciplinary & injury problems MAYBE Sundays outcome would have been slightly different.

That's weird, I was thinking exactly the same thing about Halifax. I'd have much rather played Fax in the final because I think, like us, their form has dipped and the man that makes them tick (Black) is injured.
There'll be more players coming in the next week or so.
It's a marathon, not a sprint and we WILL get through our bad patch, just like Widnes have.

Whats all this different team lark? yes you had Rooney and Catic missing just like we had Jon Grayshon missing. Widnes did not play to there full potential on Sunday and if we did the score would have hit 50.
Would Rooney and Catic have made a difference? yes but they are not world beaters. Catic is a penalty machine but Rooney granted is a good player at this level. All this it will be different when you come to craven park etc is making you sound silly, what happens if you get beat again? oh yes it will be different next season etc etc etc blah blah blah.
