Couldn't make it down tonight because of bloody work commitments but it can only be a good sign that so many players featured in the fans top 3.

this is hard, I want to pick 5 players. So will go for those who I feel had something to prove:

1: Penky - Has been patchy so far this season, but was superb tonight, working on the back of a struggling, ailing pack. Made Smith look a bit silly.

2: cherryholme - He's unfashionable as he is young and easy for fans to place the blame at his feet. But he was immense tonight with a massive shift. Dropped one ball, and two tackles later put a massive shot on Simm to dislodge the ball on our own line. 'Chezzer' needs more credit.

3: Barker - Got flak foe his 'effort' at barrow. But came in last minute tonight from 18th man, and broke the game with a great line and calm pass to shadrack. Well played to dwayne.

Squareman larder and a very impressive Bob missed out in my nominations.

I am just going for one this week.

Worrincy

for saving the game by getting back and sweeping up the ball behind our lines, when it could have been a Widnes try.

Needs to protect the ball more when he runs with it though, it's heart in mouth stuff a lot of the time! That said his workrate is tremendous and he's already a huge hit with the fans.
