| I see London's sugar daddy, David Hughes, has had enough and wants to sell the club. Probably explains why their 2023 accounts still haven't been filed, being nearly a month overdue. So I'll give you London's 2022 results - an eye watering £27.3 million net liabilities and a £1.5 million loss.
So I've no idea how much Hughes is expecting to get from the "sale". He'd struggle to give it away IMO.
Therefore, in summary, assuming London's financial position didn't improve in 2023, they take the prize for being the most heavily in debt at £27.3 million, overtaking Huddersfield's £15.7 million with Wigan in 3rd at £10.5 million. Leeds are the richest with net assets of £11.4 million but that includes their ground at almost £9 million. likewise Cas in 2nd with net assets of £4.1 million which includes the ground of £8.2 million and Saints in 3rd with net assets of £2.2 million but including a ridiculously valued lease of £31.7 million.
Overall a right mess. Now I know why they used to call the promotion decider "the million pound game", because that's how much you would expect to lose each year in Super League.

| I’ve often said without a sugar daddy we’ve no chance but after looking at some of the accounts of those with them maybe it’s time for the entire game to get back to reality and all start drinking tea without.
It only takes Sky to walk away and those at the top have the furthest to fall.

Exactly. The top division in sport is supposed to be a great money earner, but it costs millions of sugar daddy money to merely survive in Super League. What a joke, eh?

| They certainly do! Their last accounts showed profits of over £3 million and had net assets of £28 million. Would obviously be nice to see some of that go our way in terms of sponsorship!

| Midlands Hurricanes are quietly building. They seem to have a lease on a decent stadium and their owner is also the owner of Big Red Construction. Plenty of resources there.

| Barrow now filed their 2023 accounts showing they lost £130k. But shock horror they're solvent to the tune of £869k net assets ........ however, that includes £1.8 million re the ground.

| The statement from the BoD states HRMC liabilities have been settled, why then are they still having to go to the High Court?
Can any one with a legal mind enlighten me please.

| It's all as clear as mud, isn't it? It should all be black or white, either Fax owe the HMRC money, or they don't!

| It appears to me that we are paying the minimum required to keep going with a payment plan of how it will be fully settled eventually..

| We heard similar from the Bulls under Marc Green in 2016
This was his words
"There is a dispute between ourselves and HMRC which we have been working hard to resolve since the winding up petition was issued and despite two adjournments from the courts to resolve this matter we have been unable to do so.”
Hopefully it's not the same situation at Halifax and you manage to come through these problems.

| I have a bad feeling this WUP turns in to a winding up order. Nothing the board say in that statement makes sense. They have had a month now since it were issued to sort it out if it were a mistake and there would be no need to go to a hearing. I really hope that the recent cash grabs have not been some last act of desperation and there is more of a plan in place but can we trust that to be the case?

The taxman is often unfairly demonised ...... but they play a fair game, so like you say it just doesn't make sense. The monthly payroll deductions payable should be very clear so I cannot see how a discrepancy which cannot be resolved can arise, therefore I'm assuming the dispute must relate to the timing of the payments but the club has stated all liabilities have been settled. All very confusing.
