Ffs the only player who excites me and can actually run and beat players . I would rather kept him than a slow overweight number 6 who has taken until last weekend to score. Very disappointed . I think the club has just blown it's best chance to get top 4 . Clearly I don't know what the options on the table were , but if they had half a chance of retaining Qlt that would have been my choice for the money. I want to see fast runners not plodders.gutted at this because at last RM had shut up about bloody forwards. If you have no try scorers you will win absolutely FA. Hopefully we will get some explanations as to the options available but this looks a horrendous decision from where I am sat

Have to agree jensenFF . He was the only player along with Jonno who could spark the attack with genuine pace and elusiveness. Just when it looked like we had a chance of top 4 this is a bitter blow . I was going to matches again but I get the feeling this departure will again mean we struggle to score points.
DR benefits one team and that is Cas.

I'm really bitter about this move. The work LS28 have put in in not only getting the player here but also making it an outstanding welcome with the flags etc and there has been no loyalty in return. I understand that players have to look after themselves but hes obviously only a stop gap and will be looking for a new club come the end of the season when Cas go routing for someone of a higher calibre.

It genuinely wouldn't surprise me if this was intentional. He opts for us over other teams, knowing that he will get in the side. Allowing him to show his talents off whilst also knowing that Castleford may just cotton on to it as they've had no out and out fullback all year.

anyway, im gutted. thought this player may have been the spark to get us in to the 4. On the other hand, this may be a blessing in disguise a la Manning and the teams unity.

A few SL clubs looked at him when he was at Eagles but didn’t follow through because of his defence.
Now he’s a telling bit older I can’t see what has changed and based on history, I predict it won’t work out.
The closest to him at Cas is Roberts and he sometimes struggles especially at 1.
DP is just taking a punt without too much risk involved for him.
Q is just taking a punt on a last SL chance before he bows out and if it doesn’t work then someone else will have him for a season so not much risk for him either.
Fax have benefitted over the few games he’s been here but we have the most to lose from this departure as it will impact more on us than any of the others involved.
End of the day you can’t stop people from having options and choices as hard as it is when they don’t choose you.

LS28 have already come out and said there's a pot of cash should it be needed for a new player and Matt Shaw of league express confirmed that we are 'actively in the market for new additions'

Fax have brought a player back into the spotlight, given him game time, paid him a salary and have ultimately been left with nothing. Yeah, we may get some players on DR from cas but that's like your mate sleeping with your wife and then lending you his lawnmower! The blame for this sort of thing lies firmly at the feet of the RFL. As long as they allow these types of clauses to exist amd be valid, allow championship players to sign for SL clubs without renumeration and as long as they continue to treat the championship with utter contempt then no club in the championship will ever move on. Its time now for championship chairmen to really stand up and make their voices heard. The first step is refusing dual registration, every club across the board.

Hear, hear! If the SL clubs are then forced to have reserve teams to give fringe players game time, and further more develop local talent, then they wouldn't squander the SKY money to sign up "cover players" only to loan them out again. Who'll welcome QLT if he came back on DR? Certainly not me. For me it's more about commitment and wanting to wear the Fax shirt. Come on lads, give Batley a hiding ...... we don't need QLT. Sharpy hat trick from full back, eh?

LS28 although not doing it to receive any praise are the ones coming out of all this that merit some.
