how about well done to them? After all they did finish runners up,my predictions of 7 th for Fax was nearly right, I told you .Charlie knows.

Nah sod London they are full time and like you lot backed by a money bags in David Hughes while Batley and Fev are part time and run on much smaller budget, they have done a Fax and got in the top 4 which is no mean achievement pushing 2 other full time teams out.

Very true F4L but London have still done well, and play very good rugby,Bradford have made a few dodgy signings this year and Sheff least said the better,I'm genuinely sorry Fax didn't make the top 4 , but I predicted at the start of the season that RM'S tactics would soon be see through, and your pack wasn't what some thought it was , your backs were on the slow side and in Murrell and GMoore a very average partnership, I have seen Fax play a fair few times this season, the answer a clear out for next year or I predict a lower still finish next season.

Yer a clear out is needed BUT will we be able to compete with the clubs with lots more money than us in the market?
At least RM won't have the squad problem he had this season which he did not handle well tbh as he kept chopping and changing the team, next year we will be down to a squad of 25 or less I guess?
London are beatable we just did not play well again we have gone this season, hope I am wrong and we get our Mojo back and actually win the timpot cup as a cup is a cup after all.

Again your response is very accurate,London played roller coaster rugby this season, again next season will be very interesting, for Leigh promotion is not the be and end all, apparently Derek has stated whatever happens he will still be at Leigh next year trying harder to get us into SL,we still have Mitch Brown yet to arrive, myself I'm still not convinced we are ready for SL but also think we are better prepared than last year.
Of your good selves Fax have a few positives going for them, I think you should disband your reserves team, it's pointless playing in a League that around 6 teams play in,I know the DR System is not popular but it has helped Fev over the last few weeks, and you have a decent Coach, he just needs the right tools to do the job.In Manning, Ambler , and Kaye you have the basis of a decent pack, Tangata is OK , but Calahane doesn't convince me, Greenwood, Salty, and Tyrer are good solid blokes, you just need a few additions, but with money now tight RM will have to be economical.I look forward to my next trip to the Shay, and hope things improve.Charlie.

Having reflected, I'm not so sure that the reserves is such a bad thing. Admittedly, we need some more interest in it (the RFL should demand that all SL teams have a reserve team imo), but we had three of our juniors on the pitch today, with another that's featured fairly regularly. Another two are signed up for the first team, but haven't quite made it through yet. It takes time for them to develop, but if we can keep hold of them, it could just be the time for the blue 'n' white time in a couple of years!
Glad you see the positives in Manu (he's a rock, tough and guilty of "rising to the challenge" sometimes, but generally a really honest and fair player). I'm happy that others don't see what we see in Tangata as well - he's a non-stop machine both taking the ball forward as well as making tackle after tackle. Mitch needs to get his legs pumping a bit more and learn the art of offloading, but he's a neat side-step at times and in a better team (hopefully Fax next year!) could be really, really good. Miles has disappointed after a promising return from injury, Tyrer is a brilliant kicker, good runner, but can't pass the ball. Salty has gone backwards this season after promising so much last year. Jonno is our star in the making, and would be outstanding in a good team. Scott can still open up a defence, but needs a runner coming through as his legs just won't move fast enough now. Gaz Moore has been exceptional for us, and again would excel if we can improve the team around him. Kaye and Robinson have potential, but again maybe need some quality around them. Richard Moore is solid and gives us options that others don't. I could go on about the rest, but I guess I'm saying that Fax have a decent nucleus of a team, but need some spark and quality, and maybe a bit more "movement" to gel them into a top Championship team.

| For me we have lacked a bit of spark this season. We signed average players. G Moore has been our best signing but the forwards have failed to provide the platform, which they did with ease last season. Our backs need looking at because Sharp was prolific at Fev but in our system has found tries hard to come by. HB - Moore is a good scrum Half but Murrell lacks pace at stand off. The only player to provide spark is Jonno but we don't have enough strike players for me. Players who can make something happen. Would look at Summat.
Not sure about running a reserve side and maybe we would be better dual reg with a championship 1 side. This would free up money to spend on first team. Getting in that top 4 should take priority for me.

I agree with what you say but in that I don't understand why we threw games away that we should have won and ,at times to be honest, looked clueless. Something needs to change somewhere for us to get back in the top 4.
