I was being genuine, apparently the local cops passed some on to Leeds and they are using them at Headingley. The South Stand keeps a large area out of the Sun for a massive chunk of the year so it needs some artificial assistance.

I cannot see how that would wash with the council. I believe the council already makes a loss on the Shay with two tenants. What sort of rent would FC Halifax have to pay to make the stadium break even as sole tenants. Unless Copley Beach volleyball team is moving in with them? That would explain the lack of grass and all the sand!

town do not need to pay any extra to make stadium break even. the council needs to sort out its act to get the stadium to break even.

The consortium's bid pays the council 10 years rugby rent in advance.

Its a load of balls! Any serious businessman wouldnt leak details of his bid prior to any water tight agreement being in place. Its not the way serious business is done.

Thanks to our friend Bubba the stadium is an asset of public interest. So any bids that are made for the stadium would have to be made public and rival bids considered.

Wouldn't be the first would it.

The 'supposed' bid has nothing to do with anyone purchasing any of the Shay estate.
