FINALLY!!!

A legend in his playing days and quite rightly a Hall of Fame member, his coaching performance with us shouldn't tarnish his playing days but quite simply the wrong man for the job.

The timing of this leaves a lot of questions of what triggered this at this exact time.

Although Halifax RLFC is "Our Club" it is a business. A business does not and indeed is often best not to divulge all the behind the scenes activities and problems to its customers (Supporters).
We pay to watch a product and although we feel in our hearts we are paying public and have no right to be privy. Buy into the company and learn all you desire.

The club could sell itself better to its customers but with limited resources at least they try. Some new blood with ideas wouldnt go amiss. Anyone out there with money and time to spare? I am sure the board would welcome you.

Sunday was confirmation that we couldn't finish second. He had earlier made statements that Halifax would definitely finish second. They may have both agreed some time ago that he would walk If his statement didn't materialise.

I think the decision had to be made at this point. We will beat Barrow on Sunday so you cant really get rid of someone after a win so that would mean him taking the team in to the playoffs and given that it seems not many of the players are interested in playing for him it would be an embarrassing exit of that i have little doubt. There was no way the club could renew his contract so the time is right now to hopefully just give the players a little kick up the backside and hopefully a push in to the playoffs. It also gives the incoming coach as much time as possible to work with the squad although it has to be seen whether the club waits till after the play off exit to bring him in.

I just have a feeling we will perform better under Murrell for the rest of the season than we would have under Harrison.

Karl and the Club tried something, it didn't work out, and its been a dignified ending to a rapidly worsening situation.
Fresh ideas needed, a hungry young coach with something to prove, and I don't mean how many hot dogs he can eat in one go.
My concern now is the uncertainty, the Club wont be able to push on and win fans back until next season, its going to be a tough winter.
Get the buckets out now.

Good luck for the future guys. Hopefully they'll be no financial difficulty ahead but read some bad stuff about the current situation. See you in the playoffs?

After the last 2 weeks team selections and the terrible style of play for most of the season i,m relieved that harrison has gone.the excitement and anticipation have gone and fans have voted with their feet,and we know how hard it is to get people back.
Lets hope we pick a coach who can give us the exciting rugby we crave,I think the squad we have should have been capable of a much better season and with the right man(Scott?) maybe we can have a good go at the play offs.lets get down there on sunday and give the lads our support.

Only orange juice Rich , im teetotal , and stand by my predictions , Fax will finish 4th in the League , get a trip to the LSV the first week of the play-offs , lose to the Mighty Centurions , then win your play-off game the following week , and earn another trip to the LSV , Charlie knows .Maybe a welcome return for Bernards lad Dane

Really putting your neck on the line there Charlie saying Fax, in fourth place with one game to go, will finish in 4th.

Im going to go out on a limb and say that Leigh will not break their playoff duck in the first game of the playoffs.
