In all fairness... You talk about Brown doing ok last week but Mennell was one of our best players today. Lets not do him an injustice in moaning about releasing Brown. He wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference to today's result

I am so so disappointed. 24 up and an extra player on the field and we did nothing to stretch them. Quite the Opposite they did it to us ! Yes from where I was sitting
One of Leigh's try's was so far forward the Leigh player had to stretch his leg out to kick it forward and another one of their tries was a blatant obstruction. But, they played and kept going and we didn't. We should have sown the game up and didn't.
Saxton had good game, in fact most of them did, Leigh just wanted it much more when Barlow was sent off. He is a hot head and it made me smile. A game with 4 sin bins and one sending off, and team coming back from 24 -0 down! A great game for the neutrals (or Leigh fans)! Bring on Barrow

I wondered why we did this lat wee, and I'm still wondering, why are we tapping the ball instead of kicking to touch when we are about 25 metres out?
Last week we did n't kick and tried to drive the 20 metres against a Dooper League side.
Dumbass rugby if you ask me.

Wow some game that . Thought fax went well first half . Leigh , it seemed to me , were only interested in the physical confrontational style - when they decided to play rugby with pace , skill and style they produced some excellent stuff so full credit to them . When Fieldhouse goaded McNally as he went over for the try I said to a friend " that will come back to haunt him and us' . It was a stupid thing to do - anybody remember Asa Amone doing it v Bradford as fax stormed to a commanding first half lead and then Fax getting stuffed in the second half ? Also thought Tonks should have been yanked off earlier as he was clearly wound up and not concentrating on his game .

Was Cowling injured?
If not why on earth not play him today? Heaton never passes and was off the pace today.
Got to ask why let Brown go to Batley the week before such an important game when Johnson was injured, Mennell tried his socks off and did well but we missed Brown's kicking game he showed against Widnes as Murrell second half lost his kicking boots.
I am massively disappointed at losing a 24 point lead to concede 36 points before we replied is poor especially when we conceded 24 points when they were down to 12 men, they showed how to use the ball and realised they could do us out wide.
They looked good when they spun the ball wide, unlike us we reverted to type and went up the middle and didn't use the extra man until it was too late.
This was a huge opportunity for the club to get back those missing fans and sadly an opportunity lost with more questions over our coaches ability?
Only excuse maybe was the Widnes game but I thought us having played harder games would help, maybe not, maybe we just have to accept that the money they have thrown at their team is paying off, a gamble but working so far.

Agree with you Norman Bates . We seem to be tapping more regularly now and not kicking for touch although when we do kick the quality is appallingly bad . Do we not spend time line kicking in training - if there isn't a kicking coach / advisor at the club I'm sure the club could approach any local union side and get some advice because at the minute we are gaining little ground .

For gratuitous use of expletive characters to replace blatant expletive words!

Oh, by the way Cowling was out with a hamstring injury.

For being a tool like a small section of your alleged Leigh fans in the South Stand who clearly just wanted to fight....

Here we go again.....

But thanks, You gave Leigh the kick up the backside they needed after our very poor performances in our last 4 games.

Not sure whether I am feeling disappointed or devastated.
At half time even though Leigh had scored in the last minute I remarked how poor they were, how wrong, however we still should have won.
No sour grapes,
First point
Two very poor refereeing/line and decisions, as regular readers will know I have never every said a bad word about referees, often defending them (and that is not a joke) but today, my goodness, one of their tries in the corner, left hand side, they knocked on, we knocked on, they picked it up and we scored. Another try, why didn't the linesman see it was easily forward?
Second point, as regular readers will know I have never criticised our coaching staff, so much so that I have been accused of having my head in the sand, and I won't start now, I just ask, forgetting bad calls from the officials, which coach did a better job at half time?
Third and final point, I could go on, Leigh came to fight, we were well up at half time so why get drawn into it? I know it's difficult for players to stand back and ignore the provocation, and it's also up to the officials to spot what's going on, but we fell into their trap.
As I say no sour grapes but I hope we never turn into a team of thugs simply to win.
On the whole as I said at the start of this post, I'm not sure whether I'm disappointed or devastated, but I'm still a FAXFAN.
See you all at Barra.
