Its not that simple.My wife for example goes to around 5 home games.Part of the appeal
is to have a drink and a chat and a smoke and is prepared to miss 15 mins of match as she's not as interested
as we are.She has lost interest due to the way we now play but this means she wont go again
and her friend and sister sometimes come too.A guy stood at the hotdog stand told me this was his last match

Do you not remember the damage to making Pubs non smoking did to the pub trade, that along with higher prices and cheaper supermarket booze has basically decimated pubs in the outskirts of halifax.

Imagine the same to the fans numbers, Lets be honest, Its not cheap for a Maximum of 2 hours for a family of 3, £30 in ( 2 adults, Kids go free ) Burger and chips, a few drinks and some change in the bucket, thats £50 gone. It could easily be a tipping point for the hoards or people who are ussually there at half time.

I can take it or leave it as far as smoking is concerned, but here is the Crux of it, I ENJOY a fag at half time after a couple of beers, Nerves are up and it adds to it for me. I will still attend but i can guarentee that this will knock at least 50 fans minimum off the gate( (£750) that they were already getting.

If we are going to be stuck in the lower leagues for the forceeable future I suggest the directors buy Ovenden Park, build a Stand and a temporary Golf Stand and move there. HUGE catchment area too!
