Pride and passion won this game. Craig Ashall sprinting down the field chasing a kick to force a drop-out summed it all up.

Lack of aforesaid in the first part of the game, the last 25 mins of the game showed why we all follow the Fax!!!

I doubt we can beat Keighley, Batley/Sheffield, Leigh/Fev, Fev/Leigh, but all we can do is get behind the boys and give them all the vocal support we can (sadly lacking today until thing started looking rosier!!).

I thought Batley were the best team for about 40 mins. (I missed the first 10-15 as I was busy.) It wasn't the prettiest of games, but there were some outstanding hits from players of both teams. Alex Walmsley was superb - especially that try from half way! Makka and Gannon made a difference when they returned in the second half.

The only really disappointing occurrence in the whole game was the way Ash Lindsay went down like Ronaldo, clutching his face, when pushed by Paul White. Fair enough, Whitey shouldn't have pushed him, but I never thought I'd see the day when a rugby league player would do that. (I never saw the Carl Sice incident.) Hang your head in shame, Ash Lindsay.

The Ash Lindsay incident was a dive Tom Daley would have been proud of followed up by a theatrical performance worthy of whatever award they give out.

Why he was clutching his face when whitey pushed him in the body I'll never know. Linesman only came on the pitch waving his flag about as he'd stayed on the floor. Paul White isn't exactly a powerhouse!

Funny how when he got pummelled into the ground on the opposite side of the field by about 4 fax players he was straight back up to play the ball and no ill effects from that at all

I'm still waiting for him to set the world on fire like he always made out he would as a youngster, I remember a very arrogant statement that came out when he was at Batley the first time around saying he'd look to the Zurich Premiership if no Super League options came along.

Got his shot at Wakey and wound up back at Batley, was stood around with a right arrogant look on his face in the bar after the game and barely said a word to anyone
