Quote Electricityscape="Electricityscape"He was terrible, but those fans of ours who went up at the end threatening him and hitting the barriers should be ashamed!
We were awful anyway.'"
I honestly don’t see the point of writing something controversial that is wholly inaccurate.
I was in the hospitality today, so had wait at the tunnel for 5 or so minutes, in between the game finishing and being allowed to go back into the clubhouse. Granted there were some fans giving Mr Leahy a bit of an earful, however, as a referee who didn’t perform at his best, I’m afraid that is something you have to take on the chin. As for what you’ve written about him being threatened, is utter rubbish!
As I say there were a dozen or so Halifax fans who headed over to the tunnel at the end and were certainly vociferous in regard to the performance of JL, but, (particularly having just been beaten narrowly) supporters will always be passionate and in many cases they will be critical of officials and opposition etc.
I think your post was a classic case of writing something solely to get a reaction. But why you need to accuse innocent Halifax fans of nothing is beyond me?
