| Cacky cas are full of crap and have been for years. The stadium is a dump. They cant keep hold of any decent players. They have a good youth setup-but so would fax if allowed! Cas are just a championship club wearing a sl wrapper. What cas have achieved so could fax, leigh and fev. Sadly the rfl will keep them in and accept the usual crap they say.
They do not deserve to be in going on alleged criteria. They are not alone though and shows what a farce it all is.

| how embarrassing for the RFL if they allow Cas to stay in if they don't start in their new stadium. especially as they have a club applying to join who have acted on everything the RFL asked of them. Cas and Wakey will drop out. Fax and Widnes will replace them.

How embarrassing would it be if Cas made the playoffs this year and then drop out due to the stadium. An embarrasment any way it happens really, even Widnes replacing Wakefield, as they have not won the league once in the last three years.

It's a mess. A mess that could be solved with one decision. Bring back P&R.

| According to Look North tonight delay due to Cas wanting to get a better price for The Probiz Stadium if sold for a Supermarket development instead of building houses. Wouldn't that mean a new planning application or an amendnent to the exsisting one?

Yes and it also depends on what the land is allocated as in the local planning system, you cannot just build a supermarket wherever you like it has to be allocated as 'mixed use' or town centre land in the local Unitary Development Pland or newer Local Development Framework.
A major planning application would be needed and will take months plus it is not a guaranteed to get approved.
Will believe this when I see it plus where do they get the figure of £50 million from? Seems very high when Thrum Hall went for around £7 million wasn't it?

Just a shame that Halifax RLFCs share of that £7 million went down a black hole

Also wasn't there an issue with a 28" dia water main that went from the Albert Road Reservoir, under the cricket pitch to the Thrum Hall Lane pumping station which restricted the way the land was redeveloped

?? Tonked by 12 points? And we won the Grand Final last year-Cas won what? Great youth department yep as thats where Barlow, Penky, Jones etc came from and our U23s won last night. Halifax area is also home to one of the best Amateur Clubs in the country. Crowds was over 2600 despite being on TV and on a Thursday night. Cas got a 4000 crowd the other week. Fax, Leigh, Fev and Barrow could all easily replace Cas.

Not forgetting that we don't get the funding for youth development like super League clubs do just think what we would do with that funding? Just another grossly unfair situation we find ourselves in with the RFL
