sorry mate don't agree with you that it doesn't matter. i was our chance to put a peg in the ground and stamp our authority on the league. yes we had few guys out. but another trophy is always nice to have in our cabinet. they now have 2 to our 1

Batley took it seriously, hence why Karl put Moore back on to do the drop goal.

All in all it was a tough hit out for the lads, I thought greenwood was good again, Worrincy ran his heart out (needs firmer ground though), Barlow (sam) was strong, although a bit hot headed. Penky needs to concentrate on his game instead of trying to ask for penalties on every play, although he moved the ball around well. Anyone know who came on at full back (no shirt number) and left that huge gap for Batley to score?

For the age of the team we had out - it was a good game. The ref was as blind as a mouse and gutless too!

Batley were taking uber seriously and that was obivous. Not saying we weren't but we mixed things up to see if it worked.

Ratu looked sharp in defence and attack, although only played 2nd half.

Jones distribution and kicking game looked 1st class.

Other than that just missed too many key players to make the difference, particulatly fire power of Makali, Gannon and Frank.

Batley had the slope sussed and retained posession well.

Couldn't fault the effort though.

You can tell Moore has a real niggle about being a Fax reject.

He bought the yellow card for our player, I was sat in the stand in-line with the incident and he clearly threw the 1st punch whilst on the floor after being tackled.

Glad Blacky didn't play as no doubt he would have been dodging Moore's cheap shots all game...

I concur but he brought his dismissal from Fax upon himself and no-one else.

fax missed black to organise the other half of the line to jones.
ref did not help either side with some of the decisions. penky flattened off the ball and then penalised for it.
lots of tackling round the head let go. moore again winding players up, he is going to get hit sometime with him doing that. did it one time after barlow had been penalised then moore had a go at him.
worrincy was safe and ran as best could in the mud. ratu did well when came on. penky needs alternating with another hooker to be at his best. batley bombed some easy chances but the try they got with a massive hole in fax defence was terrible, nobody within ten metres after play the ball. but batley only scoring 11 points down that slope is good defending overall. fax could have scored in second half but ref was 2 foot away and missed batley knock the ball down and gave knock on agaist fax. good hard game in the mud though is what fax needed to set them up for the nrc.
