May be a few twists here, the Cas ground plans are due to be submitted before xmas, i think someone is still trying to install a cad package to knock up some super stadium drawings, anyone got a copy?
And the WMDC comment about the £2m pot doesn't sound so imminent when you read it carefully.

I would imagine their would be loopholes everywhere regarding the 2mill... I read a few places that the 2mill is going to be given in land and then that depends only if they are in SL... Wakey sold their ground to developers, used the money and now have no ground after the 2011 season, can't afford to build their own ground, can't get planning permission and won't ground share with Cas... They are a comedy club... Wonder where all the money has gone from the old Gateshead chairman after he pulled out of Gateshead and gave to Wakey???

Wakefield MDC have ratified £2million contribution to Cas new ground fund.Things could get very interesting in Wakey over next few weeks.

Its going to be hard for Wakefield Council to justify spending this money when they are facing huge cuts and job losses!

I just can't see any council being able to justify stadium developments with the pain going around at present due to the current public sector cut-backs. I await developments and think we were lucky it took us only 9 years to get the Shay stadium finished by Calderdale MBC.

I thought it was bad taste for Cas to release that statement only hours after Wakefield released theirs. Whoever doesn't have a permanent home will have a temporary one to tick the box. It's a swiz.

They can only really use this 'development area' rubbish as an excuse to keep ailing clubs up and unfortunately I think it's going to be at the expense of a/some club(s) that might otherwise be outperfoming them in terms of the league ladder.

TBF Cas were already planning the meeting and hence announcement on that day, the fact Wakey's letter came trhough the same day was just a bad coincidence for the Wildcats.

They really are in a mess though as said, sold ground spent most of that money, weren't actually paying a penny towards Newmarket yet still making squad cut backs

look at how much spending Salford did once council said they'd pay for stadium! Cas have still got a decent squad and they are paying for their own ground too, Wakey seem potless and soon to be homeless. Their future does look very bleak and I can only see new investment joining when Richardson is out of the way and someone maybe taking club out of admin to start again (SO'C style).

It's very, very poor management to leave their club in this posistion based on a project that effectively wasn't even there project in the first place!

I went past where Saints are having the new stadium built, today. Going to be one hell of a size of a development.

Or will Wakefield " Think the unthinkable " and consider ground sharing with Cas ?
