what do you think of the local band ? it seems to be a cross between Led Zeppelin and Moira Anderson imo

I thought the band was fantastic. If I can make it next year it will be with my new Baby daughter and my Girlfriend cos I wont be able to go without them.

| shouldn't worry too much about bringing the family over - the french are really into family tailored accommodation etc they seem well geared up for looking after families - the 'family unit' is still an important part of french culture - all this seems to have dissappeared in the uk over the past twenty odd years imo
if you're driving down (make a holiday of it ) you're welcome to stay with us - we are half-way down from the channel ports and Toulouse so it's a good stopover point
you were lucky with the band, they haven't been at so many home games this season - they seem to share their time with the Stade Toulousain which won the european cup this year - but they do give good entertainment - don't you get the brass bands at your local matches ?
best wishes to the Fax in the playoffs

| This year was our first visit to Toulouse but hope to come back again next year with the Fax barmy army!! Thanks to everyone for making us so welcome, really enjoyed the band and the dancing and our out of tune singing even lol...... We might be the most out of tune but we have the best songs and know how to enjoy ourselves

Very harsh. Have you ever been to Dewsbury - you'd be bloody miserable as well if you had!

Just a little, we did go all that way to see us play badly and lose against 12 men and we saw one of our players take hit on the ground and leave the pitch unconcious on a spinal board.
I for one really enjoyed it, had a good laugh with some teenagers giving us a bit of stick (I have a sneeky feeling the Dewsbury lot, who went a fortnight before, told them to tell us we were a small team in Br*dford) , the band gave it a great atmosphere, the merguèz hot dog I had at half time was the best I'd ever had.
And Toulouse is a nice part of the world
We're not a bad lot really

| yeh, they do a mean merguez burger and the chips aren't too bad either
we were sat in our usual places in the stand opposite the band (fortunately !) but some bright french spark had a vuvuzela about three seats down !!! He made a h#ll of a racket and nearly had that instrument inserted in a place where the sun don't shine...
you are a good bunch it's just a pity you lot can't sing in tune ! because of that the Leythers just edge you out as the top visiting fans with the Raiders not far behind
Whitehaven was a special day for obvious reasons and their lot were unbelievable
I think Fax brought the most fans this season (Vikings last season) but the Leythers were the loudest.Generally tho' less fans travelled to france this season
Toulouse IS a great place and it would be great to see you all again next year

| I did actually - you should have heard my 'there's only one Nathan Wynn' rendition after six pints !
I suppose you could blame the heat for your bad singing - you lot 'oop north' are usually 'singin' in the rain' aren't you ?

Big reduction in our numbers this year (150 this year as opposed to 400ish last year?), but there again we play over Easter which made travelling more expensive and a lot of people found it harder to get time off work with kids off school etc - hope our numbers will be back to normal next year (I've already got 300E set aside, the one bright side of the volcanic ash cloud cancelling our trip to Limoux!)

The last thing you want to do is mention 'away support', 'Widnes' and 'Leigh' in the same paragraph. This thread will now run to a million pages of who has the best away support and resons for any down-turn on any partiulcar day. They're obessed.

| yeh,it was a bit nippy on Good Friday - the big problem for the french was that it was not a public holiday as in the uk so most people were working when the match started - the post-match celebrations with the band etc were great tho' ! great travelling support and singing IN TUNE as a bonus ! Fax,Fev,Vikings,Bulldogs etc take note !
re - Limoux, maybe I should start another topic cos the day was a bl@@dy disgrace the two or three Leythers who managed to make the game (volcanic cloud etc) were treated to some bad behaviour by the Limoux lot - apparently the Leigh team bus was stoned after the game tho' I didn't see it myself.I complained to the RFL official about the behaviour of the Limoux officials/fans who quite openly & publicly accused the ref of cheating etc (even over the PA system !) - I wonder if any action will be taken against the club ? me and missus sanjunien were quite frightened after the game and had to pretend we were french to escape unscathed...
