I would hope that the club dont budget on cup runs when deciding the budget for players. Also i havent seen anything about any fine Fax have to pay for the Ostick mess up. Would be suprised if its that much to be honest. As for the paper reporting this, i wouldnt be suprised if he had read the posts on here before they got deleted - has he ever got anything right?

Feel Gene and especially Aizue have been a waste and offered us very little. I personally would not be too sad to see one or both go. I would rather see young Bowman play than Gene, as feel we should be using local players more. I think Larder will also be gone next year and big Franks contract finishes this year and again nice bloke but do not think he is what we want. Sign a SL youngster who is unwanted but that has fire and ambition a bit like Maloney who is for me the best prop for Fax.

I would take anything in that colum with a very large pinch of salt as it is a mixture of rumour and guessing. Plus he allways tries to portray Fax in a negative light IMHO

To be honest your probably right about the NP column not always being factual others are also right about certain players being "nice enough blokes" but to be fair I cannot see what any of that has to do with takeing a look at the club overall and deciding on what to do to get best value for money right across the board. Anyone doing the household budget will be looking at what they can do without if the worst comes to the worst so I think it`s more than sensible if the club is offering "an out"to players they can do without paying that have not set the field alight.(If that is what`s hapening)
