I think your sadly mistaken!! 80% of this side has a GF medal! As a coach in this league wouldn't you want a chance to work with those players! Rhino would want more than 2 of our squad I'm sure!! Cmon get a grip man

We're not mediocre, we're massively underperforming. And that's down to the coach. Batley are doing the opposite, playing above their means.

but you are qouting this on current form not ability. if karl was at fax im sure he would love the squad we have and not need many new faces as im sure they would perform for him and we would be where batley are and be unbeaten. come on bod sort it before the boat sinks again after years of hard work

Pathetic Fax. Seriously disillusioned by that. Where is the defence, gameplan and commitment? The last few games reads with points against:

Widnes 47 Leigh 32 Toulouse 26 Sheffield 41. We have the second worst defence and nothing has changed. Attack is usually off the cuff Rugby rather than a planned move. Either the Coaching is wrong or the players are not responding to the coaching. I do feel that we have come to the end of the line with MC. He has achieved alot with Fax but sometimes after a few years a change is needed. Now is the time to make changes not with a couple of games to go and us needing wins to stay up! Very disappointed as Widnes were there for the taking but we couldnt even get up for them. I am dreading Mondays game and fear another loss.

We're playing like we are why? So let me start

Greenwood - widely regarded as a player with great potential
Worrincy - GF try scorer and potential game breaker
Goddard/Ratu/Nash - 2 with SL backgrounds and GF winners
Black - lazy but match winner at any given time
Watene/Gannon/Barlow/Aizue - decent forwards in this league
Penky/beswick - both great players
Chandler - young guy with potential

There is more need I go on? Our squad is weaker but still easily a top 3/4 side

I wasn't at the game tonight, but could someone explain why a team who apparently (according from reports in the camp) were fully committed to getting a result can ship in 3 tries in the first ten minutes. We knew Widnes would come out strong (Bob Beswick said they would in his interview in the courier). As usual, did they just want it more?

Widnes Were not great tonight but the Fax team is a shadow of what it has been these last few years. In the first half we could and should have been winning by more, and largely it seemed like a lack of effort from some of your players.

White was shocking in the first half, every time the ball went near him he looked like he was going to fill his pants.

Black is a knock on master when he plays Widnes, And he has a tendency to drift out of games when you need him most.

Your forwards have size but there is something missing, too many 10 minute players maybe? im not sure as i havent seen enough of your lot.

Holroyd was your star today, we always looked like we were struggling to keep him under wraps and he steadied the ship for you and got you round the park, Without him you would be relegation fodder. Keep him fit and he will get you enough points to keep you out of real relegation trouble.

Lastly, there was a lot of stupid dirty play in the last 5 minutes from some of your players ( a minority to be fair ) to the point where your water carrier entered the field to try calm them down.

Again i dont understand how some of these players have become so bad in between seasons. Good luck with the rest of the season.

Was crap tonight and last week. Calland was hauling him and one of our props off after 10 minutes tonight. Luckily to save the embarrasment we got the ball from the kick off and scored. Both Penky and Aizue were stripped and the officials had been told they were coming on at that point.

That was truly embarassing. Fax and Widnes are by far the worst two teams i have seen in the championship by a country mile. Those were players playing for their coach in the first half? It was quite frankly a disgrace. A good team would have shipped a point a minute in against us tonight. Im not even sure i want to watch us get humiliated live on national TV against Bradford. If the BBC have any sense they will switch the game to the Leigh Cats game.

Matt Calland said in his interview after the game that defence wasnt good and its something we need to work on. ( Well im not sure if he did say that but im guessing he did because he has been saying the same thing since he was in charge) To be fair he has had a good run taking us to 2 grand finals but now the team is not of as high standard as previous ones its quite clear that he is incapable of getting players to raise their games and this season was a chance to over achieve with a team that should make the top 6 with out threatening the top teams. Im of the opinion of him under achieveing the last 2 seasons with the team we had even though we won a grand final but i guess he is been consistant this season and under achieving again.

You'd think you would have learned about country miles by now. I think you're going way OTT. Give us some credit, give your own team some credit. Our attacks were better, you had some very clever short kick offs, both defences could have been better. It's not the end of the world.

First half was an absolute debacle, defensively horrible and shot ourselves in the foot on too many occasions. Second Half was like watching a completely different team, a massive transformation and we definitely deserved the bonus point.

Defence is obviously a massive problem, but at the minute I'd say our biggest concern is how light we are in the forwards, we only have Aizue, Barlow and Ostick who seem to run and hit with any purpose (Aizue will kill somebody eventually with the way he charges out of the line) and we end up bringing Worrincy inside to take drives. When we have Barlow and Aizue on the field we're far better as they make far more yards and are physically intimidating and that little bit nasty in defence. Frank still isn't fit which doesn't help, but at the minute I'd say starting with Aizue and Barlow is a must, we need to set our stall out from the beginning and not start every game 12 points down after 5 minutes.

One huge positive was the return of the Nash, if he's anywhere near fully fit now he has to play. Dangerous out wide and is a big body who made decent yardage with his hit ups. Still for me I'd like to see Calland send someone out to find 1 more forward (Championship, C1, National Conference, our academy don't care where they come from) who hits and runs hard consistently. The rest will come.

Also worth noting we conceded three tries from White failing to field kicks, worst game from him in a while, though he was much better in the second half. Whereas Worrincy in comparison had a surprisingly solid game in defence, was a shame to see his scoring streak end though. Not all White's fault though, we never put any pressure on I'Anson the entire game.

No cause for panic, as many have said, injuries and losing some key players due to salary cap has hurt us but the attack is still fine, it may be disjointed but its the Halifax way, and its never dull. No reason for Calland to be sacked, we're not going to get anyone better without paying a considerable amount of money. Pretty confident we'll have our first win on Monday.
