The £3,100 is the insurable value. (Risk Disk part of Experian business cover) If they went bust you can recover the insured value of £3,100. These figures are correct as of today. As you can see the last Annual return is May 2013, so you have all the correct figures you need.

Having had a successful business myself for over 10 years I certainly know how these things work.

Let's hope this all doesn't turn out like Barrow. I remember what everyone was saying on here during that period. Suddenly now it's ok and a good business modal.'"

Slayerfest - I don't think it was aimed at you. He was saying in general, it would be good to hear the official side from FCHT and their points of view.

Then hear from Tony.

How hard can it be? 99 year leases for both clubs and a clause to safeguard the future of the ground as a sports arena for Halifax? Tony puts his money in, Halifax finally gets a better, FINISHED ground and he makes some brass for his enterprise. Jobs a good 'un!

Absolutely, something like this is what we need. As the last thing we need is if Tony falls out with the club in the future then we don't then want to be held to ransom over petty arguments.

These are the details that I want to see before I say 'yes' or 'no'. Until I see this then how can you possibly say it's a great idea for the town. Halifax RLFC have had their share of bad decisions in the past and I wouldn't want us to fall foul to another that we have little input in.

I agree we have made some bad decisions in the past but that was Nigel Wood making the decisions. This is Steel, Croad, and co. I trust them to make the best decisions.

The problem is if Reactiv go bust. All contracts become void and the administrator
sells the ground to whoever to pay some dividend to Reactiv's creditors.

I thought you said on another thread that we shouldn't be posting on this one?

Quote: mr t hall "I know we've not got to a final or won anything as yet but Fridays events
were heartening.Driving back from Barrow i could see the season peter
out like last year and i was among many who were questioning the future
of KH.It can't be easy galvanising a team effort like that when several
players are leaving shortly.Lets give Karl and our team our full support in
the runup to next thursday and hopefully beyond. And please lets talk about
something else than the Shay..'"

And if we get a council made up of a majority of councilors who have no interest in pouring money into the Shay?

What do you know about Reactive that Mr Abbott doesn't?

Well here I go,
I can not believe any supporter of HRLFC can doubt Mr Abbotts intention.
Mr Abbott sponsors Siddal RLFC, is he going to turn that into a supermarket? affordable housing?
Does any one think that he would want to walk away from both Fax and Town?
Where does this stupid notion that he may go bankrupt come from?
I would think his finances are far more in shape than Calderdale Council.
I have never met Mr Abbott but have heard him speak on a number of occasions, I have no doubt about his sincerity, I have lots of doubts about Calderdale MBC's long term commitment to the Shay.
Remember for the last two seasons they promised both clubs new drainage, what did we get, Blackpool beach.

I always like to sit on the fence.

I am glad that you have cleared up the confusion with your "[icredit limit[/i" - insurable risk is different to business credit limits used in business - you are talking about 100% debt insurance cover- which is a completely different matter.

To remove 100% of insurable risk will of course produce a ridiculously low figure - who runs a business these days with nil risk.

I also have no idea why I should look at an annual return for "insurable risk".

An annual return is a requirement of the Companies Act to tell people who the directors and shareholder of a business and where statutory papers are filed and kept for public scrutiny- nothing to do with setting credit limits. To set a credit limit you look at filed financial statements.

It is clear to me that you are twisting facts to make a disingenuous attack on one of success stories of Yorkshire business. The success of Reactiv is especially incredible when he has done it during a massive recession.

I like the I bit what we are all forgetting is this is all up to the Council and believe it or not they will not transfer an asset like the Shay without pouring all over the credibility of the people who are looking at taking the Shay over with a very strict legal agreement and I am sure something in place where ownesrhip will revert to the Council should the people taking over go bust.
Remember the Shay is allocated for sport in planning so will never become anything else so both clubs can relax on that one.

To be fair, I'm bored of it all now.

Nobody, except perhaps Tony Abbott, knows enough information to make an informed decision.

Love what Tony does for Fax and personally, would rather he focused all his efforts into getting Fax back where they belong.

I hope the crap he's had to put up with doesn't drive him away.……

Contact the board, they are always looking for successful business men to sponsor the club.

This was quoted on the Idiot's Forum as "His business is worth £25,000 not £3,100... he is a success story of Yorkshire business". Just another example of mis-quotes, inaccuracies and downright lies. icon_rolleyes.gif
