Halifax RLFC has NOT booked any function at the Shay this week apart from a room tomorrow to accomodate Calendar and Sky sports for the Super League announcement.
The reason for the fixture change is all down to pitch usage

What has happened to the "groundstaff do a fantastic job" brigade? In this weather the pitch cant take those games? You really are kidding me. I remember this been a problem in the past and one ex director threatening to take them over to Wakefield, a pitch that had much more usage, so they could learn how to look after a pitch properly. Needless to say that didnt go down too well.

Everton reserves play there (or have done in the past) But I think the football team (Halton someoneorother) left a few years back.
Pitch at The Shay aint too bad this year, compared to a similar time last year when it looked like a mudflat after all the snow had finally gone |
