WooooooooHooooooooo. How awesome was that. I must have had a preminition or something but at 22-4 down i said if any team can do this its Fax. Boy did they do it. Every man from 1-17 stood up to be counted especially when the chips were down, we had the grafters then the player who can produce that bit of magic and in that last twenty minutes everything just clicked. I dont like to single players out but, Royston finished his Fax career how he has played through out it, by been superb. Patterson made great yards everytime he took the ball in and held his nerve with the pressure kick. Worrincy superb work rate again and what a try. Branno playing in the centres was a monster in defence, maybe he got caught a little at times but some of his hits were punishing. Nassshyyyyy had a really solid game cut out the stupid side to his game and was a constant threat. Hollllly what a way to finish off his career and as we speak the Fev fullback is still waiting for that bomb to come down. Blacky magic in the last 20 a bit quiet til then but ran the show, best andoff in the league and showed why on his day he is the best half in this league, oh and nice drop goal. Cherryholme workhorse good in defence and good in attack seemed to relish earning his place in the team and was the rock that all teams need. Aizue.........monster monster how good was he yesterday? Fev just couldnt handle him, now thats what we are talking about....coming through.......awesome. Beswick took us aroung the field superbly a really good steadying element in the team. Larder and Wrench two of the older memebers of the team but total rocks both of them step up to the plate time and time again. You look up the word grafter in the dictionary and theres a big picture of Wrench and Larder(obviously Wrench can be cross referenced with Jesus). One more year Wrenchy? Big Sam what a day for him, another solid game for us he has been superb from the moment he has signed for us. Big Frank wasnt on the field a lot due to the pace of the game but when he was Fev knew about it absolutley awesome contribution from the big man. Dom Maloney best prop in the league and another awesome performance, you get hit by this guy and you know about it nd makes the hard yards too. Bannister gets bettter and better for us. Some of his hits wow and runs some really great lines in attack. Penky my Favorite Fax player over recent years and how good was he late in the game apart from that pass he hit me with in the stand lol but fantastic had Fev scuttling back everytime he picked the ball up from dummy half they just couldnt handle him. A big mention to the other players who didnt play yesterday but who have contributed along the way. Like i say though i dont like singaling players out. Also a big congrats to the coaching team who came through such a traumatic season and delivered in the end. MC has had his crirtics, ive been one, but he has delivered the goods.
Was a shame however that a few Fax fans ruined it for the players by running on to the pitch causing the stewards not to let the Fax players and coaches come over to velebrate with the fans, shame on you lot.
