| Castleford have dual registrated with Fax for the benefit of Castleford and Castleford only. Anyone who thinks otherwise is truly deluded.

| Come on guys get your glasses half full. You might soon forget about Mitch when Harry Kid gets on the field. Boyle most people will have forgotten by the time this thread gets to page 4 , and Rob was fun to watch but everyone knows his downside.
Bring in Trueman , Gary Lo ,retain Bradon Douglas and we are already in positive territory , with a budget that doesn't go pop.

Why would Championship clubs pay for a SL player to get some valuable game time (for the player) with them? Sorry, but if any Championship clubs are actually paying for the privilege of providing a training ground for SL club players then they're bonkers. The SL clubs should be paying the Championship club for providing the means for their player to develop.
If what you suggest is true (that the Championship clubs need to pay for DR players (if only their wages), then the whole 2nd tier is missing a trick and needs to join forces to work out a fair and equitable deal. The benefit to the SL team is far greater than the temporary (and often lacklustre performance) that the arrangement provides, and the financial rewards should reflect this!!!

Looking at the Operational Rules it does appear that things have changed and the 'junior' partner does now pay for the privilege (at a rate agreed between the 2 clubs involved?) which is then included in their cap spend. When first introduced players were given a notional cap value (based on salary bands) which was added to the 'junior' club's cap spend. Clearly the SL clubs were losing out on these DR deals..........

| Ah well, all the more reason for the "recipient" club to make sure they only take DR players that they really need. I've had a look at the operational rules, which states that the "home" club for the DR player remains responsible for paying the player, but that they can invoice the recipient club to recover costs to an "agreed value". I guess that the default may be to pay the DR players wages and travel expenses, but still down to individual negotiation.

| Absolute madness. So we have to pay super league clubs because they can’t afford reserve teams. Crazy.
And what if a cas player plays for our reserves? Will we still be expected to pay?
The sooner the clowns ruining our sport and bending over backwards with their super league goggles on are gone the better. Time is running out though I fear
