| Billyfax has it right. An Amateur player, registered with a Member Club as a triallist, such as Ryan Fieldhouse can represent his Member Club in the Cup, even though he has previously represented his Amateur Club. The RFL was consulted and confirmed the rule in writing, before Ryan was selected for the 3rd round tie.
Tomorrow’s ‘shocking revelation’ may prove to be the ‘fact’ that Bradford Bulls have more Season Ticket Holders than the capacity at The Shay. Visiting Clubs are entitled to 30% of the tickets for cup ties. On a 4th round tie, SL Clubs must make tickets available to their Season Ticket holders free of charge, but that obligation is limited by availability.
A non-SL Club hosting the tie must sell its 70% allocation and account for the funds it receives on the shared gate return to the RFL. In this case there will not be any free tickets available in Halifax, whether or not the ‘purchaser’ is a Bradford Bulls season ticket holder.

So based on that it is possibly a case of sensational headlines to sell RLE

| Mixed feelings as yer whilst their fans get in free it will be a big crowd (which the RFL love big numbers) and at least our fans are all pay and should turn up in good numbers (3000 to 3500 is my guess) plus like others have said the Corporate side plus programmes, golden gamble etc.. will all have big sales so increased income.
It will give the club plenty of publicity especially if we are on TV as looking at the draw it is one of the top 3 games for interest!
But do I want see a mass of Bulsh8t fans and another win for them???
Lets hope they have an off day and we play at 110%, and by some miracle beat them!
Oh and by the way they may have 10000 season ticket holders they all got them cheap and probably won't travel away very often plus its only the 4th round so I am guessing they will bring around 3000 tops.

| The story in the league express says the game is gonna be broadcast on bbc on the sunday and it mentions how season ticket holder hget in free and bradford have 11,000 season ticket holders. which means financially its not the best tie we could of hoped for. It also mentions that the current capacity of the gtround is 6,300 but halifax are hoping to have the north stand open for that game.
I thought the capacity of the ground was alot more than 6,300 even without the north stand open???

Does it include the Skircoat Stand being closed though? Or will they open it for this game?

| If the game makes it on to TV there wont be the potential problem of Bradford giving out their allocation. Hope it is as its a long time since we last graced the BBC. Regal Trophy final? Or did we play Cas in a cup tie after that?

We were on against Saints a few year back, I remember as I watched it at Uni with a lot of confused southerners.
Thought we were on against Bradford too a few years back?

It has to be all ticket! Bulls have more than 10k season ticket holders, and whilst the club could guess that only 5k of them will turn up, they just can't take the risk.

| The original full working capacity of all stands is
North stand: 3500 that is with it being fixed and having correct number of toilets. (1100 if fixed but with current amount of toilets)
South stand: 3200
Skircoat: 2200
East stand: 3500
Total Capacity: 12400.
However due to various H&S in all stands the current capacity is just under 7000. That total is from someone who works at the Shay.

| I think the game should be not all ticket. If the ground fills, there should be a lock-out. I don't think the ground will fill. Anybody locked out can always watch it on TV! This way, the club can get round the silly H&S rules and actually FILL THE SEATS UP!
Look at the state of Wakefields ground. Its tiny, but can apparently hold 9-10000!
Calderdale Council - Pathetic.
