| A moment that summed up Sharp's season was when Swinton had that penalty to win the game and their player missed the kick, Sharp looked like he purposely put his foot on the line to make sure the ball was dead. In doing so it meant a 20 Metre drop out where as if he just catches the ball it would have been play on and we probably see the game out. He has been poor but the right side defence on the whole was poor and Im not sure Swinton would have got as much change out of Ben Heaton & Salty.

| I liked will sharpe, but was far more disappointed about Jy Hitchox leaving fev last season. I posted on here that Fax had signed the wrong Winger. Shame for us last season that Andy Hay decided to play JY at full back for most the season where he was useless.

| Quote: The Phantom Horseman "Will Sharp was arguably the best winger in the Championship - certainly in the top three - over the last three years, and you wouldn't have found a Fev fan who wasn't disappointed when he left us. Don't know what has happened at Fax to affect him, whether it's the coaching or man-management or something else, but there's something not right there because he's a quality player.'"
Sometimes it simply up to the player to perform and when he has had the chance he hasnt. Dont worry though he is not alone in that for us this season. We have been getting by on the fact that we have a very good set of players but when you have so many players out of form eventually you come a cropper. You can afford to do that against Leigh, Bradford, and maybe London and a few other teams away from home but do it against Swinton at home and it makes the task so much more difficult. We are lucky this season that other than Leigh the rest of the teams will beat each other so we might at a push get near the top 4 but on what has happened so far this season it will be more on luck than good judgement because we have been nowhere near as good as we were last season.

| In total shock after being out enthused by a team that was near to the bottom of the league.Swinton deserved their victory as they played a simple game plan well. Just keep making too many errors and today our defence didn't back it up. In fact it was woeful. Our defensive line speed was slow and our right edge just looked a soft touch which, credit to Swinton, they totally exposed. Unfortunately our coaching team didn't alter other than switching Tangata and Manning over. I think Will Sharpe is a good player but he isn't doing it for us I'm afraid(shades of Alex Brown last year) I expect Salty/Tommy/Potts will now be ahead of him. To be fair wasn't down to one man- too many of our influential players just didn't turn up today. Maybe the coaching team might think about using the whole squad going forward after such an intense Easter period-we looked mentally and physicaly jaded today. Well done Swinton.

| World class for 12 minutes, 2nd (or 3rd/4th/5th etc - take your pick) class for the last 68 minutes. As has been mentioned, it's a good job Swintons kicker left his boots at home or it could have been far worse. On the plus side, at least it didn't rain!!
One question though. Do we need to get some brown 'football pitch markings cover upperer'? Swinton were hard done by when they had to drop out due to the linesmans mistake - it could be our turn next

| Sharp needs to move on. It all depends on the clique of a team and I don't think he is part of the clique

| Sharp was only 1 of 4 or 5 that were defending that side.
None of them did a job today. Unfair to blame just him alone.
If the ones inside aren't doing their job, he can't do it all himself.
Yes, the tries were scored around him, but it shouldn't have got to that point in the first place.

| For most of the game Fax won the collision in both attack and defence and were clearly the bigger side.
Team wise after sailing into the lead at more than a point a minute the intensity dropped and the good the bad and the ugly were on display in large doses of erratic play, maybe they thought the game was won.
Individually Will was exposed and the video analysis needs to be looked at over why.
A few other costly errors.
Miles attempted kick that connected with thin air.
Steve T knock on with just 2 minutes to go.
Jake dropping the ball when going over the line.
Swinton had one main threat which was a bit of speed, they accepted the constant offerings from Fax from forward passes, penalties and mistakes and capitalised on them.

I thought (from the South Stand) that he was a centimetre or so from the line. I did think that the TJ was in a better position than me to see though. That said, the markings were awful.
On an associated point, I've also offered to the club that I'll paint the sticks (and buy the paint) given that they look pretty sad and I can make time to help. The club haven't seen fit to reply to my offer yet?
Well played to Swinton, but that was truly awful from us today......

| Have to agree about Sharp been a disappointing signing. That right side was awful defensively. I have said it before and will say it again I think we overachieved last season. The players who performed well last season are not performing as well this season. Defensively we are not as good as last season.
Where was Saxton? Just thought we was poor form 1-17. Top 4 looks a long way off. Credit to Swinton thought they had a nice shape in attack and out enthused us. There has been some shock results even in super league and could be a case of no easy games this season. Last season we comfortably beat teams below us. This season we are struggling for consistency.

| Why was Saltonstall playing 2nd Team Rugby? The lad hasn't put a foot wrong all season. But Hey, Richard, it's ONLY lowly Swinton. Saltonstall and Saxton should play every week, barring injury.
MASSIVE coaching error that will now knock the attendances as there is only a mickey mouse cup to play for now. Season over. Part-time next season. May as well start offering extended contracts now BOD

| All of the above, but as said, defence especially down the right wing poor, where was Tommy, messing about in the in-goal area instead of kicking the ball dead, and in my opinion the team looked jaded. All good work done over Easter down the proverbial toilet. I'm sure Rich will look long and hard at the video and the Team will come back all guns blazing, but have we missed the boat?
