| I remember when Brambani had a spell with us.
Didn't fit in with Callands culture though.
Remember putting 72 or so past Oldham and he was the architect. Isn't his dad Queensbury based?

| So our halfbacks controlled the game today did they? We looked like we had never played together today. There is no legitimate reason why Jonno shouldnt play, at least he is able to create something.

| No he doesn't create. He plays on back of space created. He had games at half back at beginning of season and created nothing. If the forwards r on top and give him something to play off then fine but he does not control a game. Don't think he'd have made any difference today....not with that ref..

| I would take a half back who can create something over a game management type half back nearly every time especially at this level. Marshall is kidding himself if he thinks that we do not have a problem at half back and it totally sends the wrong message out to players when our full back gets dropped because he did not defend well enough(I can only imagine the players defending in front of him got a pat on the back) yet we saw performances like we did today from our half backs and we know full well barring injury both of them are guaranteed their places in the team next week. Amazingly for the first time in weeks our pack for the most part bossed their opposite numbers so it really says a lot about our backs that we can not beat a Dewsbury team, who lets face it, were very very poor no matter how you want to dress it up.

Unless I have missed something I believe he has only played one game at half back this season when Murrell missed a game through injury. Its also amazing that someone who "does not create" has so many line breaks to his name. I agree he does not control the game but how many good half back pairings have 2 players who control the game? Most of the best half back pairings going back donkeys years have a runner and an organizer. IMO we have struggled this season because we have 2 players almost exactly the same playing at Half Back making us pretty easy to read.

| Sorry johnno fans but I don't see him as a class half back even at this level. I've not seen him dictate a game, he has no long kicking game. When we r on top and give him some space he can cause havoc but just don't think he is a natural controller of a game that u need at half back. Agree we seemed to get on top today. But a few brainfarts mainly by one of our wingers and the ref were our undoing today.

| Jonno has started 1 game at H/B and 2 off the bench 1 was at the summer bash (say no more) the other was against sheffield at home where we won by 50+ so to say hes not a good h/b gazempo or what ever your name is do you really know how the game should be played. Gaz Moore has been garbage for some 12 weeks now but we all know he is 1 of the undroppables as is scott who i would keep in because of his leadership get jonno and scott together in the halves what worked so well last season jonno might not have along kicking game but hes very dangerous with ball in hand today the little grubbers he puts in would have worked GM has no brain aswell as no heart.

| I like Jonno he is an exciting player and off the cuff a rarity especially for us but is he a half back? Not really as you need an organiser and a player that has planned moves so the rest of the team play off them which is not Jonno

But st the moment that is not working, perhaps we need Jonno in so that opposition defences have a bit more to think about, at the moment they know the exact formula we are going to play and are nullifying anything we have.

Should be back next week as Miles failed miserably to stop tiny Tony Tonks from 2 yards out yesterday.

| I thought Johnno played well at hooker. Has a good scoot on him.

So much this.
How many good teams have 2 organizers playing in the half back positions?

| The majority do or would like to as generally teams line up with one half back on the left and one on the right so you can switch plays either way. Most teams attack mainly to the left because more players find it more natural to pass that way, but if you have no organiser or playmaker on the right then it limits your options.
