technically not true as some teams get promoted to the division you won so in effect you do play differant teams the following season. |

Although your right in what you say,it must be said in all those years, they've gone on to play in euro comps as well,so there is still something else to play for.

Playing at the same ground in front of the same fans. Right. 
I don't buy these "new clubs" at all. Personally, I think the unchanging part of a club is its fanbase. Corporate entities change, club names change, grounds change, players change, directors change, back room staff change. Fans - give or take a few births and deaths - don't. Fans are the most important part of the club. 
I didn't see Hunslet as a new club when they novated and I haven't seen fit to change my view at any of the changes that happened since.
And, of course, people are wont to say that we have a new club - or not - depending on which option proves their point. |
