If we had a team of Dave Larders we'd not lose many games. By the sound of that piece in the Courier, it looks like nobody else is an option, it's Fax or nobody.

Larder is an inspiration on and off the field. I would like him on a 12 month deal. We all know his age is a slight concern but he scored a few tries as well this year and is a good leader and tackler. If we spell him alongside Gene and Aizue then all 3 will have a big role to play. I would not want them to play 80 minutes because its tough especially when you are 31/32 let alone 34 atthat level. However I think the younger guys like the Bowman Brothers can learn heaps from these guys and why I hope all stay.

It just says we've been linked with him. We knew that already.

But DL's whole tone is about possibly struggling to make the starting team next yr, which would suggest we have strenghened in that area even more. suggesting we may have bagged Nash before his return to oz.

I still think he'd get in the 17, he is such a pivotal part of our squad really.

we have the flair players, we have the big props for next year, we need someone that gives 110% every game, someone who often is the top tackler, for me there arent many at the club if any others that give as much effort during a game as him.

We should sign him, if only to avoid having to listen to Haighy saying "if we had Larder they wouldn't have scored there" after every try conceded next season.

Good bloke and a fantastic ambassador for the club, but sorry Dave, I do not think he will be a first choice player next year, a great sub to have on the bench though and one to mentor the younger players.
