As with most games after our usual slow start to the season this is massive. We need a win not only for the two points but to keep up the momentum going into the CC Q/F. Batley had a good derby win at the summer bash so will be up for it no doubt. I think a win for Fax by 14. Hopefully a large following at The Mount again and we bring the points back with no injuries. Up The Fax!

I thought Batley defended well at the Bash - on a small field I think the difference might be below 10.

Don't think Dews offered too much in attack though

Tangata back and Kirby in 19.Looks like we're rotating a few with next week in mind-but we have the depth.

Batley showed more desire to win and deserved it .the balance on the small pitch looked out if kilter for us with our own players getting in each others way on attack . We can do far better next week i am sure

Batley were the better team on the day and definitely wanted it more than Fax which is very disappointing. Let's hope it was the calm before the storm. As for the ref....

There has to be questions on positional selections, why not Sharpe at FB & leave Grix at HB. We were light in the forwards due to injuries. Why Salty at Hunslet. Very disappointing afternoon best. Team won.

Ah ! Ref's fault.

It certainly wasn't the Refs Fault the better Team Won on the Day but he certainly made some baffling decisions not helped by the Touch judge

Personally I think too many people got carried away with the Bradford win, Bradford aint that good a team. The game itself was a match between 2 evenly balanced outfits so probably appeared a bigger win then it really was. The Batley game exposed again our week go forward up front. Too many steady eddies and not enough grunt. I also thought White again offered nothing and when you combine him with Murrell we have 2 halfbacks with no penetration or running game, Murrell has the brains and experience to carry him through (not as much as before though).

Not sure why we dropped QLT also. Every man and his dog knew Batley would give us a game and to make so many changes maybe wasn't the best idea. Also Tangata should have been on the bench not started after so long out. I personally think we are at the level we should be with the players we have. Why we signed another back when it's proven forwards we need, not a kid from Huddersfield.
