Firstly let's forget about the rights and wrongs of DR,there were 2 teams on the pitch today ,one was well organised,disciplined,reasonably creative and very passionate,the other was Fax.5 drives and kick,no real breaks and a complete lack of anything new.We are going backwards at a rate of knots and RMs future must be under discussion at BOD level although I am led to believe that the kings in waiting are Grix and Murrell which does not fill me with too much hope as they are not currently having much positive influence. The answer lies at York but why should a progressive young coach leave there and come to us.Change is needed,it should come from the top but is there anyone there to do it!!

Simple answer is No.... No money to do anything and no balls to do it when it should have been done 12+ months ago. RM has done nothing to develop the club in 5 years. We're no better now than we were 5 years ago. In fact is say the squad is now worse. Zero halves, zero ideas cos Murrell, White and Jonno aren't good enough

I wasn't joking when I put on the Fev forum that it would be a comfortable Fev win. I am not shocked in the slightest. Failure to fix obvious problems in the team along with his general stubbornness will be his downfall. Lets just hope it happens before the club falls apart.

Sadly I'm not sure it will... His poor recruitment and inability to see problems was always going to come bite us on the backside.... He rules the roost at the club which is ridiculous and I see nothing but a slippery downward spiral now unless changes and big ones happen quickly... We both know there is no money to do that with a gaping hole in the finances now waiting in the wings too...

From day one of the pre season up to now the team sheet has changed back and forth I don’t know how many times but whoever has played although individuals may have had a good game, as a team they looked leaky in defence and clueless in attack.
Sorry to say it but so far this campaign, performance wise, team wise and the way they are as a unit they look like strangers who haven’t played together before and the poorest Fax side over the last few years.

I'm sorry but i think this thread needs a bit of realism......

Were we poor today? Yes

Have we under performed for the season to date? Yes

Has our discipline and completion rare been diabolical so far? Yes

Have we lost away at Widnes and Fev before? Ermmmmmm, Yes!

I get that people are frustrated with our current form (myself included) but the strides we have made in the recent years under Marshall are the biggest I've known in a long long time. We now have a reserve side we can be proud of, we now have a link back with the local amateur clubs which has been missing for years, we have finished in the top 4 twice in the last 3 seasons, we have a stable financial grounding, we have a team full of fax lads wanting to play for our club, we have various supporters club and trusts that are gaining momentum and constantly growing.

I get that its the entertainment industry and people want us to play exciting but id rather we built from the ground up rather than to spend money we don't have just to "entertain". Look at Widnes, I'm sure they would rather be in our position than to be where they are right now, people need to look beyond the end of their nose!

Fev have a few super stars.... no squad depth and reliant on DR.

Look what happened last year didnt end too well did it.

Bottom line is the league is made up to enable Toronto to go up. That's what super league want.

Amateur game on it's backside.. Again super league taking too many juniors away.

How many actually make it from academy.

Then ones who don't...How many return back to game.

Look at Brandon Moore and Jono...didn't make it at Cas....bet Moore is one player been looked at by super league clubs.

If you look through the fax team last year we weren't reliant on DR

Sure we all know what has been achieved, why because we’ve been part of it through many avenues such as sponsoring the reserves / financial support and in other areas.
The reality is that in spite of all the progress there’s still more to be done.
What we are seeing at the moment is way off the mark and is not going to do it.
Not only supporters but everyone involved with the club from the BoD, RM and the coaching staff will not be happy with current first team performance as I’m certain RM will be saying tomorrow.
Nobody at the club will be giving a seconds thought looking back to past achievements or at the sorry looking current situation at Widnes.

Have we improved though? Last season we looked no closer to winning a game in the 8's than before. We are certainly as far away from SL as we have ever been under Marshall albeit I don't think the blame lies at Marshall's feet for that. He has spent more money this season than in any of his previous seasons and we look a lot worse than we have in previous years and a lot worse than a team that was put together only a matter of weeks ago. Our stable financial footing is made of quick sand with the club struggling to sell sponsorship for even the better games in this league and it has to be a serious worry with crowds already not living up to expectations and likely to go lower with performances on the field.

Of the positives yes we have a good reserve set up that could do with playing a lot more games but again its not down to Marshall, hell he doesn't even speak to half the reserves players and most of the work is done by Gonzales and Greenwood. The supporters groups are doing a great job as well and it must be frustrating for them seeing the club do such a bad job of pushing games. Im sure many would agree its time for wholesale changes through the club but the club will continue to be run like an amateur organisation mascarading as a semi professional club.

Even the dates on the away travel are wrong! Basics, basics!
