We really need to et some players in from Salford for this one. They had 3 Leigh players in on Sunday who all apparently played great. Sam Hopkins, Lachlan burr and Jamie Acton. No doubt they will be back in again next week.

If we don't strengthen now then I fear a very long slow season ahead.

Was always going to be a mammoth struggle this season.Obvious with the way we finished last season and no money to strengthen in the off.Couldn't understand anyones pre-season optimism.Not a fan of DR but either use it properly or bin it.Salford's 18-25 squad members will be 50% better players than we have.

I would keep Matt Wilkinson. Him and Salty were the only standouts yesterday the rest need to have a look at them selves as that was shocking

We at Leigh have a fair sized squad this season of around 30 players , only 17 can be in the Team each week, so we have around 13 players available to Sheff providing we have no injuries.Acton and Hopkins could be called up for first team duty this Friday, so it could be anyone who plays for Sheff this week.
As we have very few young players they are all in the first team squad with first team experience.I may come to the Shay again this week , depending on who we send to Sheff.

I didn't go due to weather and commitments but I listened on the Mixlr radio.

That was equally shocking, it was like listening to white noise. I could actually hear some commentary in the background but not from our guy who seemed to not have a clue what was going on. I resorted to twitter in the end as it was really that bad.

Surely if they're fit and out of 19 man squad you can pick what you need ?

No, if Salford don't want him to play, he doesn't play.

Cant see us winning against Sheffield the way things are. After Sundays pathetic performance, would rather see us play our reserves. Least they would play with some heart and actually care about how they perform. just want a team that gives 100%. I didnt feel that we gave 50% on Sunday in most cases.

I can t help feeling something is seriously wrong within the club, despite all the chest thumping and positive remarks about great training, R M is resorting to the age old'once they are over the white wash', 'we need to play out our sets,blah,blah,blah'.
There are a couple of scenarios come to mind, he has got it seriously wrong and lost the dressing room, or the players cannot remember the plays.
I am not a professional coach by any standards, however lets get back to basics, carry the ball, pass only when safe, move the ball to our fast men ( warrancy makes yards on most plays) kick into unmanned areas, tackle like they mean it, listen to the ref, no back chat.
Once that is achieved then play the expansive stuff, I would rather read 'Fax6. Opponent 0, rather than'played great scored some great stuff but were unlucky to lose'.
