| The league points are retained. As there's a massive gap between Bradford/Halifax, and the rest, they are hardly going to have their 3rd / 4th positions under threat.
They could have 7 byes and still.go into the semis.
Every minute matters RFL.
Time to give lots of debuts to some of the second team, just to give the fans a change.

| Someone said today that the final is played at the highest team home ground this year, is that right? If so we need to finish above Bradford.

| We and the Bulls are 11 & 12 points clear of the Eagles with a maximum of 14 points available so we should in all reality be playing the Bulls twice more this season.
Oh well we may get to a cup final to play even if it is the Useless Knobbers Day Out.

Cmon Norm, do they have a Useless Knobbers Cup?

Just checked. Last year, Fev v Broncos played at Widnes.
Not sure about this year.

It would seem so, and it's one that the Leythers can't win, at last, I've found the silver lining.

| Every Minute Matters.
Always thought Blake Solly was over-optimistic with that line.

Yer got to agree not inspired by this tinpot cup and playing for not very much other than getting home advantage if we make the Final, obviously its a cup so yes I would like to win it but have we gone for this season as we did not look up for it today really and are not playing well?

We didn't look up for it, although one high tackle and playing against 12 men seemed to provide something of a spark. That spark was defused with an ever so simple head-down drive to the line to put London back in front though. Possibly the thought that a win wouldn't make much of a difference (we weren't even smart enough to put the early 6-0 Swinton lead over the tannoy to gee things up a bit?), which of course is how it panned out in the end.
As I've said on a separate thread, we're pretty much guaranteed a spot in 1st/2nd of the lower 8's, and although a home tie in the final (if we get there) would be good, surely better to blood some of the up and coming reserve team that we spent our windfall from last season on. If not, when the heck do we start bringing them through?
Btw, I'm not the first to note this, but our passing between centres and wingers needs some serious attention before next season. This was highlighted when Sharp finally got a quality ball a few metres from the line for him to dive in at the corner. He's had a lot of criticism go his way, but in that moment he did show what a quality winger he could be for us if only he got better service.

| The next few matches should serve a lesson for those players that return in 2017. If this isn't incentive enough then I don't know what is.

Not sure about blooding any more young 'uns as to be fair Richard has played a lot this season look at today!
I totally agree about the lack of passing ability by our centres as neither Tyrer or Heaton are good passes of the ball, when Will Sharp finally got a good pas it scored and it was off our fullback - Jonno!

Fair play, and Ed, Jake and Gavin did well today, and Brandon has shown some spark in other games. More game time for all of these, and maybe Joe and Elliot as well? There must be a couple of others that could be eased in to play a game or two to get them some Championship experience?
Shhh, but Jonno would be a superstar in a good team...

| Nick Rawsthorne And James Woodburn-Hall. Surprised these 2 haven't made the 19 at any point this season.
Regarding Centres. Haven't had quality there (as regarding servicing a winger) since Austin and Schuster.
Recently, we had Nanyn for over a year without playing a game. He scored more tries for Swinton whilst contracted to Fax.

That's how I see it Rich, It may or may not mean much for this year, you can only play the cards you have and what happens next starts now.
