Sorry David no disrespect intended but you have fallen into Hudds obsession, what is the point of holding a vote?
It's like the vote about "what shirt should we have"
If I remember correctly less than 100 people voted on that one.
If you want to hold a vote on this subject then add to
"Yes"
"No"
"Whatever the board of directors in consultation with the head coach feel is best for the future of HRLFC"

| Agree with John should be a shed load more options available. What about like was mentioned last night the likes of Adrian Morley going to Swinton and the positive effect he had around the place. Now I know perhaps its a bad example because Hull KR really dont have any world know stars but they have some who could have a good influence on our players again if used right. Im sure with Chester and Poaching at KR they will not take Fax for fools due to Chesters love for the club and Poachings relationship with Marshall.
As long as it means us getting better players than what we have playing for us and is done in the right way Im not too fussed. Like has been mentioned though if we use dual reg it is going to save some money on wages on match day so you can see with money so tight why the directors want it but you can also see why Marshall seems a bit sceptical as well.

| I have voted no and yes I contradict my earlier post on here, but I say no purely as like many others I don't want to have our club dictated to by a SL club who we may end up playing in the spin drier league later on!
BUT I can also see why the club will have to give DR some thought as we have to compete with one hand tied behind our back with the much higher funding amounts being paid to Bradford & London plus bigger pots also to Leigh & Fev and DR might mean we get a player that gets us over that line for the 4th spot!
If we do have to go that way I hope its long term loans type players not 2 or 3 weeks then back to their parent club.

| I hear what you're saying John, just set this up cos Huddshay asked. I agree it could do with more responses.
I have every faith that the board and coaching staff would only enter into any agreement that benefitted the club directly and that Halifax RLFC kept its identity.
That said, I voted no because I feel DR is an ill thought out and badly managed exercise by the RFL and SL clubs. If we support this who knows what they will introduce next? DR could be the thin end of the wedge!
I sometimes wonder if we are ashamed of why our sport was formed and where it came from...

| Will be interesting if you go down this route and the reasoning for it as ours was a short term measure and think things like your selling your souls I would never go again and Fev Hypocrites was put on this forum.
On a serious note why would a club like Fax go down this route before the season has started does the new coach think he cannot compete with the team he has or has Mr Poskitt got his way

Nowt to do with Poskitt.
Yes we don't want DR but we are over £500K down on teams we are playing against next season so how do you compete with that???

I have voted no as would be expected. I have no obsession with DR, I just want my club to have nowt to do with the whole sorry mess that it is.

We are down massively because we stuffed up last season.
What happens if we take KR players on DR and then have to face them in the middle 8, will we then have to start reassembling our side without them at a crucial point of the season.
Fundamentally though if the SL clubs didn't sign all these players they obviously don't seem to need then better players would be available to the Champ sides for less money therefore we should have better rugby and a better competition.

And there within lies the problem JD. You enter into a DR tie-up & your club no longer has 100% control over team selection.
I voted NO.

| Voted No as really don't like dual reg.
But trust the BOD to do what they feel is in the best interests of the club. As in my humble opinion a very difficult decision to make.

| NO from me - dislike DR and the sorry mess that Batley got themselves into says it all for me. If we can't compete as Halifax then I would rather not bother.

| As I understand what Richard said was, yes he felt Fax could benefit from DR but he would look more towards loan signings which could be season long with the SL club paying the wages of the player, thus Fax would benefit without the cost. It was also pointed out that Fev probably would not have finished 2nd without their loan players. I also note some of the posters were not at the Night. Lets not prejudge the issue.

| Marshall made a case that he'd do whats right for the team, he doesn't want to be dicated to over who he should choose in his starting 13.
He also basically said that Warrington took the p**s out of Swinton, Marlon Billy kept quiet about this issue but i'm sure he too has an opinion.
Neil Arber gave a passionate response, but rightly said that if its a season long loan then that wouldn't quite be viewed as DR by many.
Last thing we want is players turning up for one game to get fit, perhaps we should team up with Hull KR or Wakey to make sure we don't get the likes of Briers or Morley!

On the bolded bit I got the impression he meant it was used the correct way at Swinton with him using examples of how Morley was used and players like Briers and Bridge.
