That is really what it is isnt it? Its hard to think of a game in this league which potentially has had as much riding on it as this one. Yes we have been blessed at Fax in recent years seeing plenty of major finals but their simply was nowhere near as much resting on the outcome of a single game as there could be on this one.

It is simply a must win game with it having a massive bearing on the future of the club. Win this one and it could put us in a position to build for the future but lose it and it could leave us with a massive amount to do to try and keep up with the teams above us.

Yawn, Zzzzzzzzzz it's only a game,hope Fax win but if they don't bad would it really be???

This is what sport should be all about. The drama, the anticipation, the excitement, the ebb and flow of the game. Then the euphoria and (in equal measure) the disappointment after the game!

It should be a cracker tomorrow. Can't wait!

Btw, great to see FC Halifax Town leading the way in the Conference. 3 from 3 is a tremendous start to the season.

I think you lads will be in for a shock thinking this will be a close match I hope I'm wrong and it's a good game but I don't see you lot not getting 3 points out of this one If Fev do come up with the goods tomorrow there is two games left for us to win so it would still be wide open if we lose I think second is yours. Although it's worth £450 000 I hope my team clear any debts it has before signing players next year don't know what you fans think at Fax

I have to agree. I'm hearing Fev can only send a patched up team today, i couldn't careless, a win is a win. A win without them getting a BP is even better & I'm sure they'll be thinking the same. This what sport is all about, at last there's something more than simply the prestige of winning, there's actual hope & dreams & prizemoney to shout about.

I think we are getting a lot of disinformation from Fev Fans and im expecting a tough,hard game which could go either way

I do think some people are over hyping this game . Yes it is important and the added money of coming second compared to third is significant but fans mustn't get carried away . I know some people are saying " let's go full time , spend it on players etc " but you have to be careful . I'm sure Fax have already decided what to spend on players next season , just because they might end up with an additional 200k should not change things . We all know how tough things are at club ; too suddenly splurge extra cash would be risky . Spend a bit more perhaps , but use the rest wisely . Clear debts , put some in reserve etc . Next season you are competing against at least three full time teams perhaps four , to put all your eggs in one basket , end up coming 4th or 5th and receive substantially less cash the following season and still having players on two / three year deals on big money would again be risky for the club . I'm not being negative just practical . Too much boom and bust in rugby over the years . Mind you at least today's game is important and should attract a decent crowd . Really looking forward to it . I think that most of us who have been loyally supporting the club for the last few (35+) years realise the importance of this game for the future of our club. I don't think any of us are thinking "nice one, more money so go but some big signings for next year".
I'm pretty sure most of are thinking that it will ease financial pressure in difficult times, allow us to plan slightly further ahead than a few other teams and not have to risk everything in an attempt to get into the top tier.
So all in all it's a very important game today, after the recent years of going to the shay and no matter what the circumstances there was never really anything to actually play for, as win or lose, you're in same boat next season, it's nice that we finally get back to some meaningful rugby, with meaningful consequences.
