| I feel the criticism Karl is getting is unfair. Sitting fourth in the table . I will admit performances could have been better (against NWC) but its not all doom and gloom. OK, granted under Calland the rugby was more entertaining but our defence was at times terrible. At least under Karl that has been rectified. Attack will get better with the firmer grounds. We have shown glimpses of quality against Leigh (first half)
Just feel the guy needs a break from certain supporters who only criticise.

| If you think 4th in the table is reason for applause you are easily pleased.

| The thing for me is that under calland I was excited yeah we may lose a couple of games 36-24 or something like that but we would win games 54-24 and do it by playing fast exciting rugby

| Oh dear lord not the firmer grounds rubbish again!! If Karl has rectified our defence how come we are in the position we are and the games we win are close encounters meaning the other team has been allowed to keep themselves sin the game by scoring enough points, doesn't sound like our defence has got better to me.
I admire your enthusiasm but also think we need some realistic opinions.

| Fine. We build our success on defence. But we're shipping an average of 18 points a game.
That would be Ok if we were scoring for fun, but we're not!!
Get that average concession down to single figures, and we could win things (apart from supporters!), but we need to be able to break down defences as well. NWC game is the point. They score 12 points (not ideal, but manageable), but we can only score 6 points ourselves.
Not trying to be disrespectful to NWC, but the Matt Calland team would have put 40+ points past them....

I think we would have probably won the game 40 - 38 having been 20 points behind at half time.

Unfair.....lol
Where have you been these last 3 years...? Karl as a man and as a Fax player is legendary. As a coach and man manager poor to put it as politely as possible. In his 3 years he has disassembled a team who played fast, exciting rugby and replaced it with a one man style of rugby based on forward play. This in itself is very boring to watch. Defense has improved but not won us more matches than under Calland. His downfall was his personal life and habbits allegedly. Under KH crowds are dwindling and his selection process is bizarre at best. Premiership Football clubs don't rotate their squad as much as we do..... On the field we have gone backwards and appear to be going backwards elsewhere too. That is why I believe we need change but it won't happen.

| How can we go from hammering Leigh in the first half at home to losing to Dewsbury etc? Karl needs to let the boys loose to play attacking rugby because stating the obvious, 5 drives and a kick is suffocating the lads.
I will be there next Weds hoping for a return to our attacking style - play defensive five drives and a kick and Leigh will muller us.
Would be interesting to see the WDL stats for Karl and Matt.

| Leigh are the outstanding team, Sheffield have form for late season runs, Featherstone will be there or thereabouts. Donny are a surprise package, Batley and Dewsbury will bloody plenty of noses along the way.
What do you want us to say? Well done Karl? what has he done that means he is above any critical thoughts or words?
We all want the best, we all want improvements, we all want to be contending, we would love silverware.
They may turn this round, they may find some unity and cause to kick on and confound the critics, they may!
Are we content to be a club with an outside chance of finishing second? hmmm, not sure, you pays yer money etc....
Very honourable of the poster to defend Karl, I don't want to see a club legend struggling like this, but im not sure people can be condemned for being critical of the place we are at. Karls brought in some poor choices and some good choices, are him and Lee the best people to develop them? How long does he want to build his vision?

| I think the big issues most people have is the lack of progress and any real entertainment value, though as supporters some may say why do you need to be entertained.
Our players seem to lack confidence and from the outside it looks like if, for whatever reason, you upset KH then you are either dropped or banished OT on loan.
There seems to be no cohesion or plan in the team selections other than Casey being a permanent bench fixture.

| I thought KH would do a great job in this division, he hasn't. Tactics. ...boring. Player development....poor at best. Player recruitment....average. Results....disastrous. It is not good enough by a long way.

| Many see it but the BOD seem hellbent on keeping KH. I just don't get their reasoning.....little ambition, little off field activity, zero communication, we aren't much better off than we were in 2004 under Faz and that's a disaster and has seen the club go full circle and in many aspects backwards.... It's so frustrating.

| This is a quote from yesterday's courier:
“We’ll continue to look at both selection and formations,” Said Harrison.
We're half way through the season and still don't know our best 13.

| The criticism aimed at Harrison is fair and justified and based over nearly 3 years in the job. I'd hoped that when Karl came back to the club he would bring to it stability, discipline, structure and be almost like father to the players for whom they would run through a brick wall for him.
How wrong could I be, the connection with the fans just hasn't happened and from the terraces it seems the players have no connection either apart from a few close lieutenants. Results, tactics, conditioning, judgement on players and improving players, I can't think of one positive. But the cardinal sin he continues to make is slagging the players off in the press, particularly the backs.
If it wasn't for the fact that Karl had such a great career at the club the boos would have been ringing out a long time ago, fans are now just deciding to go the coast or garden centre instead.
I'd loved to be proved wrong, but there's no greenshoots folks....
