Believe me, it's hard for me to say it, but congratulations to Sheffield, two finals and second in the League, it may be heresy but, I would swap our season for theirs.
I just hope Fev beat Batley, no disrespect intended because I like Batley but Fev are the only club left who will take a decent following.

Well done Sheffield, 3rd GF in a row, 2nd final of the season, played us off the park again tonight when it really mattered. Fev's 4 title wins on the trot & Eagles cup rugby puts us a long way behind in 3rd place at best over the last few seasons.

Attendances are down, style of rugby on offer is bland & predictable and the smarter coaches have us worked out.

just no spark at all.....plodding up the middle all game and pretty predictable.

The best side won tonight and we went back to how we have been for much of the latter part of the season.

Started well enough but could not get over the Eagles line due to the same lack of ideas and solid defense.

Similar style approach to the first encounter by us but Eagles had the X factor players that got them on the front foot the longer the game went on.

Onwards and upwards, maybe some of the comings and goings will be confirmed soon to see how we will look next year.

Congrats to Sheffield well deserved not just tonight but through out the season. Its clear we need to bring in some halfbacks who have a clue on how to breakdown a good defence. Personally I dont think Murrell is a half back and would be better at 13. Having a strongish pack and hoping to batter them is not good enough against Fev and Sheffield, as has been shown more than once this year. Personally Karl needs to bring in an assistant Coach who has an idea on attack plays or we get rid of Karl and bring in somebody who has a bit more idea regarding modern rugby and has more than one plan. The same bland rugby cant continue for me, as it is neither successful or pretty to watch.

Karl is a coach for 2 years MAX.

To be honest it was disappointing but we just don't have the flair in the pivot positions to be able to open up those better defences. Personally I would be looking to support KH for one more season with a stand out ex pro back's coach who can support him in aspects that he hasn't experienced as a player or coach. Fev have done exactly that with Sean Long and we need to be a little more ambitious on recruitment both on and off the field.That will hopefully put those bums back on seats next season. league table never lies and Fev and Sheff are the top two teams in this league.

Seemed strange how Tiger was MoM at DVS but went completely AWOL in the 2nd half tonight.
