Its official:
Halifax RLFC have agreed terms for the loan transfer of Sam Barlow to Featherstone Rovers for the remainder of the 2013 Season. He will not play in any game between the two Clubs.
Halifax Coach Karl Harrison explained; "Sam is a player who needs to be playing regular Rugby and long spells to maintain his fitness levels. With no significant injuries amongst Halifax' forwards, I'm not able to offer him the first team opportunities he requires. The chance to join Featherstone for the remainder of the season was one which he did not wish to turn down, and in fairness to him, I felt it right to let him go."
Sam leaves with the good wishes of all at Halifax RLFC and he expresses thanks to the fans and his sponsors for their support.

Now this is official the comment from your coach is an interesting one that he cannot get in your team and needs regular rugby to maintain his fitness Going on last weeks game he has no change of getting in at Fev due to the way our forwards are playing if this is correct. Don't understand why he cannot play if we meet up with you again as he obviously is not of the quality of your forwards and you would think he would want him in than having to face what was on the field last week again

If it becomes a permanent move to Rovers or elsewhere and with Morro calling it a day then this should be on the agenda along with the other recruitment.

Bollocks. Have you not seen him play this season? Didnt want to leave? Dont make me laugh, he brought this about all by himself. He is a liability who was probably on as much money as most of our pack combined but probably did about 10% of the work that they put in. Waste of space that has freed up some money, a very good bit of business if you ask me. |
