| Really happy with the signing of Karl Ashall.
Sounds to be a good YOUNG prospect. I seem to remember somewhere that karl mentioned somewhere something about a winger.
What other options do we have now to add to the squad which i believe will take us all the way next year?
The doom and gloomers can stuff it.We have big players injured for most of last year returning in Nanyn, Morrison & Divorty.
We have signed a SL quality Loose in Murrell.
And thats all adding to the squad that 'down to the bare bones' last year finished 3rd and won the NRC.!
One more quality outside back and i think we're there.
Well done the BOD and Karl!

| I would have thought that just about raps the signings up for next season.
There are a couple of good young outside backs that have been signed up that will no doubt get a chance and provide cover in those positions if required.
There will probably be a little in reserve if we need to bring someone in later on due to injuries just like last year.
Quite a sizeable squad with some good experienced players and youth to draw from.
It will be interesting to see what brand of Rugby League we will play as KH has mentioned a few times recently that the coaching staff are looking at options in that department.

Harrison, who said he was “still looking” for more potential recruits, hinted that he hoped his revamped attacking nal would give his side a greater attacking threat next season.

| I thought this past season we would be up there with Fev with them just having the edge on us. Over the season i got that just about right. I have to say that at the moment I really dont see us troubling Fev, Leigh or Sheffield next season. Looking at the team Im hard pressed to say we will have a better team next season than we have this one and i dont see any of the teams mentioned been any worse. Time will obviously tell but my expectations will be less than last season, I just hope that the rugby we play might be a bit more exciting because if what I say does happen we could lose a few fans with a boring brand of rugby.

| I admit it was a disappointing end to the season, and amongst a few posters on here there seems to be an air of 'Oh no, we've lost Penky - we're doomed!!!!'
There is life after Penky - yes he could be brilliant and win you a game you had no right to win, but even going back a couple of years to when we lost Beswick and Gleeson, at the back of my mind I always thought I would have rather lost Penky. Penky was great at running at a tiring defence, but his distribution was never the best (the bullet pass into Gannon's face in the last game summed it up for me), and he always seemed to want to do things his way.
We now have Karl Ashall on board playing behind a big pack, a quality loose forward in Murrell (Hull KR fans I know are gutted to see him leave) halfbacks that will see a bit more quality ball to work with, threequarters that all have proven tryscoring ability, and potentially the best young full back in the division chiming into the line also.
Rhino will have the squad ripping it up in pre-season, I am confident he will get the defence sorted now he has the personnel he wants on board, and I think next year will be an improvement on this.
KEEP THE FAITH - THERE IS LIFE AFTER PENKY!!!!!

Still not convinced letting Paul White go was a good idea

| worrincy, rettie, patterson and heaton as wingers plus the young lads, no need for any more wingers in my opinion.

| Could we use another prop? Gannon and Makali have gone, Tonks replaces one of them but is he enough? Ambler came in later in the season so could be seen as the other replacement I guess?

And Morro, if we do struggle we can always bring someone in on DR.
Overall though i'm fairly happy with the squad, concerning the winger we're covered pretty well but if we did need another player i'd rather we use one of the young lads. The only other signing i'd want us to make would be an out and out halfback unless we're going to give Bowman/Casey a genuine shot at halfback next year.

| No need for another winger for me.. Agree with Inoffski1 with the backs.
Also I believe we need another prop.
Wouldn't Play Robbo at prop I believe he's better in the second row.
You can never have too much quality so another prop wouldn't go a miss - for me anyway.
