Well that was a waste of a trip, I have thought for a while now that realistically this season is a write off as we were never going to get top 3 and you cannot win the play offs from 4th, 5th or especially 6th place.
The GF is a dead cert to be Leigh v Fev.
Lets start again with a clear out and a new coach with HIS team.

At least we should not face Fev in the play offs as surely they will either win the 1st v 2nd game or if not we aint going to get to the second semi final, that may be a blessing in disguise.

Results in both tiers of English rugby league in the last month say everything about our game.

Wakefield nothing to play for lose to welsh. Widnes nothing to play for (keep on losing and have been an AVERAGE championship club but yeah good home support and a top academy). Halifax nothing to play for (average season in comparison to the last few). Castleford something to play for 10-8, week after nothing to play for 56-0.

Cant say i disagree too much Jon. Really looking forward to the new coach coming in and bringing fresh impetus to the team.

I think the club need this, it has been coming really as Calland was always on borrowed time for me and lived on a the back of a good squad and now we don't have as good a team and he has gone we can take a step back and start again.
If it is Karl then one thing he will do is UNITE the fans which will be great as its not been good for people like me and there are quite a few of us who doubted our coaches ability and management over the last 3 years.

Questions need to be asked about the conditioner as well when you see the state some players were in and still are, how they are allowed to get that out of shape I dont know when being in a semi professional environment. Complete overhall.

Still got at least 2 games this season, one against a team near the bottom of the league who play on a narrow open pitch and then whoever finishes 3rd Ithink. So away at Batley. neither will be easy games so the lads need to get building up to these and lets get a roll on.
We ARE the champions so lets go out and show it.

The seasons not quite over yet and as dissapointing as this years been in places the lads have shown they have the beating of the top teams in them....

If we turn up with the right heads on we can turn any one over.

Let us stop harping on about the dismal performance at York and look to the future and the play-offs. If our key players are fit we can beat any team in our league.
Please get behind the boys and cheer them on.

I can't believe some of your posters are talking about calling it quits and moving on to next season. PROUD2BEFAX has got it right. With a full side and especially Penky in you are still a threat in the play offs. I know from bitter experience what your team can do. Yes i'm a FEV fan and i'd like to see you knocked out at the mount not through any malice, just because my fingernails and heart couldn't cope with playing you lot again. Even though i honestly think we'd win this time.

Ill have both, Ill look forward to next year and the play offs this year, although i am a little nervous because like a few years ago when we would annually get knocked out in the GF eliminator or lose to Whitehaven we have been so inconsistent, if Nobby was with us I'd fancy a flutter on us.
Some of the players are really gonna have to come to the fore, we have them too, but its up to them, how much do they want it. York was abysmal, Hunslet needs to be fixed bayonets, every yard gained, every tackle made until the oppositions will is broken, York were encouraged to play from the first minute to the last, hope we learnt our lesson.

I had a few ££ on Fax in the NRC at 10-1 (how close was that), and just put a few on at 14-1 to win the GF. Fev and Leigh outright favourites, but if we get on a roll you just never know.

14-1 feels pretty good odds to me. Need to win 4 in a row, but we do have a team that's capable....

Fax on their day are 'DEVASTATING' in this league. They can beat anyone in this league anywhere and I for one would not be too downhearted.

Composure lost you the NRC final but it isn't a bad returnm on what has been a very poor season.

As long as you are in the playoffs, any team you will play will be hoping it isn't Halifax.

I hope we beat Fev in game 1. If not, I really hope it isn't Fax we play in game 2 !!

We really need to dig deep at Hunslet, narrow ground and they are always on the front foot so if we win that one it could be a great springboard into the playoffs.

We can do some damage in their if we are switched on.
