we'll have a new coach, and i recon a fair few new players to come in....so its exciting times.

i know that were not in SL, but this 'fresh start' is something that the club need to embrase, and Tony Abbott and his teams need to be thinking of ways to get get more people down the Shay on matchdays.

any ideas what Fax could do to Market next year?

Deal on season tickets crucial 2000 paying £60/70 is better than 1000 at £100. Bulls and Giants doing deals we can't afford to be more expensive even though a true Fax Fan would not set foot in either grounds

Well as I see Huddersfield are doing a cheap ticket it has to be a must , why not do a "Bradford" and offer the season ticket at half price if they sell more than double of them.
Plus there has to be more input with the players early/ pre season geting them in town super markets handing out free kids tickets and stuff. Sorry to say this as I know they are part timers but at the end of the day it`s the players who sell the club .Maybe it might be an idea to give the players a bonus at the end of the season if they increase the crowds by so much percent .I don`t mean on one match I mean a proper increase it ought to be easy to work out, then that way the players can be rewarded for the extra effort .

I agree, It would be a disaster for us for Huddersfield and Bradford to offer cheaper Season Tickets that a Championship club, I know SL are subsidised by sky etc and have other income streams. We dont other than the cash fax and the fantastic work of the Supporters trust etc.

Season tickets offered at £80.00 per ticket providing minimum of 2000-2500 sign up. So Basically do the pledge thing the same as the bulls did and see what the club can get signed up, This will obviously help with potential salary cap issues in the future like leigh have this year. Something to do with 40% of something. At least this way the money is already in the bag, the projections for cash fax can be pretty acurate i would have thought. We can then spend the right amount on players and coaches and perhapds get this pathway for youth development started and get some under 18s and stuff going.

Its difficult for clubs like Fax though to gamble on doing a massivly discounted season tickets....if they dont get the required numbers to make it worth while, their up Sh£t creek without a paddle!

Both clubs season tickets are subsidised by a third party. And I don't mean via sponsorship, I think I'm right in saying that any shortfall is made up by one of their board members which is a luxury that we don't have.

But that is the point you have to hit the required number before the cheap ticket kicks in.

Maybe a completely naive business thought this.... but, could you have some sort of offer that is like £100 per season ticket, if season ticket sales exceeds 2000 this price drops to £70, if season tickets sales exceed 2500 the price is £60 etc etc.... Just a thought and I have no business experience and thought this through very little so don't shoot me down straight away!

I for one would not shoot you down at Bradford you had to hit I think it was 10,000 before the price of £60 kicked in (still too dear for Odsal by the way ) Correct me if I am wrong but didn`t Leigh do something similar a few years ago?

The offer has got to be offered by the end of the season asking fans to sign up for the reduced offer, a time limit is put on and unless the specified number sign up then it doesn't happen, that is what the Bulls did. Dropping prices as rlfan 88 suggests is not the answer as fans would wait and not buy. Yes Linda it was 10,000.

But this technique would stop waiting surely, and actually encourage people to buy and tell others to buy? You pay the full price to start with, then encourage more people, friends, family, newbies to buy as well in order to reach the discounted price. Which the difference, if the required number of tickets is sold, is simply reimbursed. I certainly wouldn't be waiting, I'd be there buying and telling everyone else I know to be buying to get to the target - as long as its a sensible target to reach in order to receive the discounted price of course.

Problem is when do we find out how many teams in our league next season.? Therefor until we do we couldn't do what Huddersfield have done

Yeah i get the concept, and its a good one....but what limit would fax be able to gamble on before they actually ended up with less income than what they would have done if they had just done normal prices?

my season ticket this year was £140 ish (free corp meal inc) good deal i thought!,

but this early bird offer didnt get that many more commiting.

the club need to think of new ways to get people commiting their money now.

the thing is fax have probably 1000 season ticket holders that would buy whatever price they are (within reason) its the other 8-900 that come to games everyweek we need to get buying them.

I heard of even other club supporters buying the Bradford one as for £60 it was worth it to them as they visited the ground once or twice anyway plus if your teams on the box Fri or Sat you can go along and watch Bradford on the Sunday (even if you can`t bear to watch the full match).

thought that had already been agreed 10 teams in our league next season. 2 down 1 up. and if crusaders not in our league then 2 up. This will change the following season to 12 teams being in our league?
