£14 was well over the top. I'd have thought twice about going if I'd have known.

£10 is about right for a friendly IMHO as was Odsal last week and what it will be next week at The Shay.

Revenue from friendlies is usually split after expenses, unless there are special arrangements such as for testimonials or games arranged as part of transfer deals, so I'd assume we'll get a pick up from today.

I too only paid 7 quid, got to the ground just as kicked off and went to the first turnstile with a few batley fans in front of me and paid for me and my lass and the turnstile operator asked fo £14 and let us both through and we're both in our mid 20's. Must be the youthful good looks.
