| Thanks to the RFL I am very disillusioned. The way the Franchise rubbish is done and the cloke and dagger actions of the RFL angers me. It angers me we (and Barrow) did not get the chance to have a crack at SL despite being Champions and being no worse than Wakey, Salford, Crusaders and Quins. But the last week have been the final straw for me. The corrupt RFL and the way they treat Crusaders and allow them to do what they want and then allow Blackpool just to die and now the way they treat Batley ( A club I have the upmost respect for) etc is just a disgrace! I have lost the love of follwoing Rugby League because its lost its spirit and soul. The game used to be for all. But now its if your face fits. Nigel Wood nearly ruined Fax with the way he and the directors ran the club. Now Wood, Lewis and co are on the brink of killing my game. I just cant watch it be killed like this anymore. I wish I lived in the UK as would do more about it. I will help out Fax as much as I possibly can. But for watching SL or the Championship on TV I have no more interest as its a joke the way the game is going and nobody is standing up and saying "Rugby League is our game, stop ruining it!". Sorry for the negative post but I just have to say something!

| me too. you some this up spot and speak for me and 100s if not possibly 1000s of rugby fans.
in fact it is now up to the club directors of all clubs to get together for the next step to put forward to the morons at red hall as i suspect its costing the clubs money and this will answer y season ticket sales will be down on clubs that have even won silverware.
im a season ticket holder for about 15 years and a regular watcher before that. my dad followed fax for over 50 years so i was wondering if the club has noticed we havent bought season tickets this year. so including my mum thats a loss of 3 just in 1 household.
the reason is what is stated in this thread. i have become very uninterested in the game as a whole because of whats going on.
i should be enjoying it more than ever these last few years with our progress but even when we won the GF i wasnt that excited compared to how i would be if we were playing for promotion (knowing that our application wont be even concidered) so with the price rises as the shay just because we are the pointless champions has made the decision not to buy a £200 season ticket for the 1st time in a decade and a half (helped by the fact hudds are £95 and bulls trying for 65) no im not moving to them 2 rivals just not interested and would rather watch a saturday afternoon game if anything now

| It's a shambles but I would never let a bunch of suited misfits spoil my enjoyment of Halifax RLFC. For me this last season gone was the best since 1998. I am thoroughly proud of the people running our club and providing us with a Championship winning team and an exciting brand of Rugby. I am fairly happy to observe from a distance the circus surrounding Crusaders, the constant rule fudging and the crap that gets spouted weekly about stadia.
If the Championship chairmen keep their heads whilst all above them collapse then we'll be fine. I still say the game is bigger than any of these goons running it.

| It's ok supporters being disillusioned but not a particularly good idea for our Chairman to state what he did in the Courier. They don't need any more excuses to not let us in.
"The licensing process is a new one and you would expect it to evolve, and this round of applications has certainly been different from the first one," said Steele.
"What you would not expect is for the RFL to ignore one of the central themes of the whole concept, which was financial responsibility.
"They do seem to have agreed the recent changes because of who the Crusaders are."

| We have next to no chance getting in anyway and think Steele knows that. I would rather our Chairman be honest, than be kissing the of people who are ruining our game. Its clear that the clubs ar enot happy when a couple of clubs are now openly criticizing the RFL and its dodgy dealings. Is it worth organizing a Petition amongst the Championship Clubs and going to the Red hall Offices with the Media there to witness it? Something needs to be done before the game below SL is destroyed beyond repair IMHO

i think it was right to say what he did. think a few more will speak up when a club gets kicked out of SL too.
or what odds they change rule again now and expand SL by one team.

I think Mr Steele is spot on. Shame a few other chairmen in the game dont speak out and stand up against the farce which is the franchise system.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

| So long as chairmen continue to doff their caps and pay their turnip tax every time the RFL come around there is no chance of being treated with respect. Only with a firm and collective voice is their any chance of being taken seriously.
Mr Steele and the Batley chaiman, balls as big as space hoppers.

Screwed any chance you had of ever getting in to SL. At least ours waited until its painfully obvious that we have no chance. Im glad Widnes meet all the criteria because it is going to make the coming months very sticky for the RFL.
