so it is York that Oldham will be taking on next week in the Championship 1 playoff final so who should we want to win?

Oldham is just a short journey over the hill and are now playing at a different ground so it is a new ground for us to visit plus if they lose it will be their 4th final defeat on the bounce which would make me feel sorry for them.

York is a fantastic day out with many great pubs and attractions to visit York is a great city and I really enjoyed our last visit their for the challenge cup 4th round in 2008 plus they are from Yorkshire (although Oldham is nearer to Halifax).

I get along with both sets of fans so although I would love another trip to York in 2011 unlike last year with Keighley I am going to sit on the fence with this one and just hope for a good game of Rugby League. May the best team win.

Tough call as you say, would like Oldham to finally get back up with us it was a RL strnghold once - unilke York.
But the Knights are from Yorkshire so feel a bit disloyal if I supported the Roughyeds. I also recall how much stick we got from the 'neutrals' when we beat York in that mickey mouse play off match at Widnes denying them their promotion, especially Harry Gration who lives there! Wonder where all their fans from that time have gone, only 673 there today???

It should be York.It was their coach Dave Woods who brought Dylan Nash and Luke Branighan to this country.
I also think you should be leaving the pub early and going to the ground to lend your magnificent support to the York players in the final.

Who'll bring more to Fax Next year? We dont have many home games and they are where we make our money, Hunslet wont bring many whereas Keighley and Haven usually bring a fair few, so thats less bodies through the turnstiles,

I have been to the Whitebank stadium and it is very basic but credit to the Oldham club who are trying to improve facilities however i do like a day out in York so i hope they win
