Whether within the rules technically, there is no doubt in my opinion that the barlow selection does not paint a good image of our club. Is it worth putting our image at stake in exchange for mre success on the pitch?

He's only putting his own image on the line. The club has done nothing wrong. They asked the RFL the question, they replied. The CLUB can't do anything different and with the injuries we had we were always going to ask it. It clearly was a case/agreement between Barlow and the Sheffield club and his reputation in the sport on the line. In this instance, I'm happy with the way our club has handled it (unlike a number of other things, which I will/do point out when i do think it's wrong).

It's easy to make light of it but the whole affair has opened a can of worms and a lot of clubs will be much more cautious in their dealings with players. It won't be good for the game.

Put it this way, if there'd been a Barlow incident before this Barlow incident, Barlow probably wouldn't have been playing for Halifax last night.

There there, Most of them are not sour losers, there is always next year pal, You did well coming from sixth, You got 3 away games with a shared gate for taking 200 so as a club you did really well, It would have been embarrasing for you to go to the final with a maximum of 1000 fans though.
