After hicks gave that penalty against frank for doing what every player does in rugby every week without being penalised, fat thug tonks did exactly the same thing in the first hit up, hicks response, 'he can tho'.

Best team won, hicks needs retiring, arrogant female genital.

Fat thug? What a joke.
Make your mind up. If Tonks did something that he's allowed to do and every player does it every week without being penalised what's your problem? If a referee penalised one of your players for doing it perhaps that is down to the referee's decision making.
Have a look at our disciplinary record this season, 1 player in front of the disciplinary committee (1 pending for a reserve player) and that was in a reserve match.
Tonks is far from a thug, just a player who loves going forward and likes to run at the forwards.

The difference being Tonks was actually getting up at the same time, besides Watene's was far more blatant than the one that you did actually get a semi-skimmed penalty for later in the game.

must say it was bit inconsistent giving penalty for one but not the other. watched it on tv and looks exactly the same. hicks even warns tonks but was no warning to watene.

Go on then. I will. I have just watched it on the tv and frank does have his arm around the players back, but if you look carefully its a loose ARM and certainly not enough to stop the player rolling away or getting up.

The very next tackle Tonks (i'll resist calling him a fat thugs, because I don't think he is) has his arm around the tackled in almost an identical place. Tonks even still had his arm around his head when he played the ball.

The only difference was that Larder wasn't smart enough to lay on him claiming to be held down.

Oh and the resultant try followed a knock on missed by hicks.

No sour grapes, just observation, we were clearly beaten by a better drilled side, who always make better use of their hillside pitch than we do.

I would like to say we now owe them one, on the big stage, but our focus needs to be next week.

I haven't seen the game. But most of us thought he missed a knock on there!

I may well be there! Just to see who we're up against n'all that!!

How much easier it will be to watch a game without the pressures of allegiance to either side! And how much more balanced the referee will appear in that game!! icon_biggrin.gifAISY:

Hicks was incredibly inconsistant.

When Wrench got penalised for THE tamest grapple tackle you'll ever see, the next 4 tackles saw 4 MUCH worse grapple tackles without being penalised. If you're going to penalise for something, you've got to keep doing so and thats from a Fax fan about Fax players.

I also thought Divorty(?) was held by Said when he was allowed to play on make 20 more yards and led to a try.

However, our defence was poor, our kick pressure was embarrasing and the better team won, Hicks had minimal impact.

Field, think he let him off because thats the only tackle he's 'broke' all season icon_smile.gif
